Daniel Ayala is a viral sensation! On Oct. 1, the Oklahoma City native confronted an elderly panhandler who he had been giving money to after learning that she drives a brand new car!

A video surfaced on Oct. 1, of Daniel Ayala angrily yelling at a 78-year-old woman in a 2013 Fiat who he claims has been panhandling him for weeks! The video which was shot at a Shell station in Oklahoma City by bystander, Brandi Newman was posted to her Facebook where it has been viewed over three million times!

Daniel Ayala Confronted — Yells At Panhandler In Brand New Car

Brandi captioned the video, “I gave the lady in this video money the other day on Penn and 140th because she was holding a sign that said 78 year old widow needs money for food. So today I pull up to the Shell on that same corner and see her sitting in a cute little Fiat. As I’m sitting there thinking “I got scammed by a little old lady”, a man approached her car ……and this is what happened next.”

According to KFOR, Daniel approached the car saying, “You ask for money in the middle of the street and you’re driving a 2013 car. Listen, I work hard for my money. That’s why people like you take advantage of people like me. This is bull****.” He then yelled, “If I see this car tomorrow. I’m going to f***ing bust a window,”

In an interview with the news channel, Daniel said, “I gave that lady over $15 in five days. $15 could make me enough to come to work for gas,” he said.

Brandi also spoke with the outlet and agreed that Daniel’s threat was justified. “Of course, it’s not right to bash somebody’s windshield in,” she said. “I didn’t think he was going to do that for a minute. He’s just trying to prove a point that you don’t come here again, don’t do this again, quit scamming people.”

While they seem to be in agreement, the family of the panhandling elderly woman is very upset. Brandi revealed that the family actually contacted her through Facebook and said that their grandmother, “isn’t doing anything illegal,” and that she has a panhandling permit.

The family of the elder woman needs to learn how to spell the world “SHAME”. People like these are the reason I don’t give money to panhandlers. If you want to donate, donate to food bank/efficient running charities.

I give my money to legitimate charities. These people begging on the street can’t be trusted.
There was a man in my city that raised a family and sent his kids to college begging regular working folks like me. He would walk 5 blocks from his begging spot around lunch time and get picked up by his wife. She would drive to another spot and he would eat lunch in the car.
She would then take him back to the spot he was picked up in.
He would then walk back to his begging spot and continue to beg. He made more in a day then most people making minimum wage. His begging spot was by a very busy expressway. If each car that went by gave him a dollar. he could make hundreds of dollars a day.
He was followed by a news crew and busted.
Some of those people panhandling are on drugs and alcohol, then there are others that just don’t want to work a regular job.
It’s not illegal but it’s a scam if you are saying you’re doing this so you can eat, when obviously you can eat whatever you like and are driving a new model car.
Give your money to a soup kitchen or other charity and instead of handing them cash, hand them the info for the food pantry or kitchen.
This is the very reason it’s hard to trust sometimes.

I saw a segment on TV years ago about people who hold up signs asking for money. They make wayyyy more than I do and I work full time at a half ways decent job. I never, ever give money to panhandlers. Just for this reason and for reasons like in this story. But, what’s so sad about the whole thing is this may change Mr. Ayala.

We’re all out here struggling. It’s not fair for us to be struggling in this economy, and then have to be taken advantage of at the same time. This is sad.
