Reddit admins should note some details regarding this user before granting her request. /u/AmberFellows knows spam well . She daily posts “sales listings” to Reddit asking people to buy things from her, she posts photos throughout Reddit which contain a very visible watermark to “innocently” direct Redditors to her sales website, and she runs a subreddit called /r/AmbersNectar which she uses to funnel Reddit traffic to her “hobby website” which is a very transparent commercial site (see the sub’s sidebar) to make purchases from her.

If her incessant spamming of Reddit to drive sales at her commercial website isn’t enough, take a look at the other subreddits she already runs. They are all subreddits that are using Reddit resources to host commercial marketplaces where she and others make large sums of money off of Redditors. One of her commercial marketplaces hosted on Reddit is /r/FetishItems which, according to its sidebar text is

“Reddit’s place to sell •Used toiletries •Period, peed-in, cream pie, or scat panties •Saliva, urine, or other bodily fluids”

Whether selling human semen, blood, feces, and urine on Reddit is in good taste or not, it is absolutely against the United States Postal Service regulations to send this biohazard material through the mail. Yet, it is being done daily in her r/FetishItems/ sub. Without a doubt, if this user /u/AmberFellows is given control of the /r/fetish sub, she will turn it into yet another income stream for herself hosted on Reddit’s dime.

You made a throwaway for this, which leads me to believe that you have a personal issue with the OP. There are ENTIRE subreddits dedicated to this very thing. Do you have an issue with all of the posters to those too? Also, who says that anyone uses USPS to do this? The beer trading subs are incredibly active, and according to the USPS,shipping alcohol is illegal too. Guess what? They don't use the USPS! amazing isn't it?

People make money using Reddit every second of every day. If you have an issue with that, I'd suggest you find a new place to hang out, or better yet, don't visit those subs.

Almost correct. My issue is with the influx of people, op certainly appears to be included, who are trying to force the commercialization of Reddit's fetish subs. The OP in particular uses the phrase "getting spammy" as a pretense to suggest that she wants transform the sub into something intellectually interesting about fetish. A quick look at her posting history easily shows that her problem isn't with spam persay, but rather that it isn't "her spam". If people like the OP kept their spam to their own corner nobody would care which is exactly the problem. They do not. They branch out to other subs in an attempt funnel people who aren't interested to their sales areas. Take /r/gonewild for instance, a very popular sub for fetish people, over the past year it's been a real problem with those like the OP who ignore the rules about posting commercial offers. The /r/gonewild moderators and community of thousands said that they didn't want their sub polluted with sales pitch posts but this group like OP (yes, I've seen her sales posts there) posts these things for sale anyway. /r/gonewild is only one example, they are doing this in any fetish subreddit that has a decent subscriber base. Posting unsolicited sales offers to subreddits that have specifically asked not to receive them is indeed spam.

There is a bevy of people who have already asked to take over the /r/fetish subreddit for noncommercial purposes http://www.reddit.com/r/fetish/comments/1dreir/moderators_wanted_for_rfetish/

BTW, read some of the threads in the feces selling subreddit I mentioned. There are several talking about whether they should be using the US Postal Service tracking option when they send their toilet's content through the US mail. Though since I see in your posting history that you are a long time commenter in the OP's subreddits , I take it you were actually already aware of this.
