I had to do a double take at this part. I was in a 'special education department' in elementary school because the adults at my school thought that my low test scores were somehow indicative of a low I.Q, so between classes and during testing, my peers were disabled kids my age. Should I have been killed along with my peers because I wasn't at place that deemed me intelligent or worthy of anyone's effort?

Redditors, stop grossly misunderstanding disabilities and the lives of people who you don't even know. Fuck you for assuming that killing anyone off will somehow "better society". Eugenics. doesn't. work.

I swear, most of these wannabe-sociopaths are just ignorant, entitled assholes who have never even met or gotten to know a single person with disabilities.

I spent a year in a special ed class because my mother had attempted to homeschool me and then didn't really try, so I had to catch up before returning to regular. Having a disability or learning disorder isn't even necessary to go through those classes!

Yeah, that was basically what I was trying to say. As for me, I had been in Spanish only classes until 3rd grade, so I had to catch up with the rest of my classmates in terms of writing and reading, and I guess I didn't meet their benchmarks fast enough. Not to mention that they hardly cared to put any effort into understanding the situation. Gotta love the education system of test, test, test!

      That's not how it works though. If you breed for any one trait over and over then eventually you get some health problem.

      Almost all popular breeds have a health problem due to their breeding standards weather or not they're related to appearances.

      Selective breeding for any one trait never ends well.

      This is so weird to me. On AskReddit and other big areas, they seem to share this opinion. Yet whenever an autistic child gets bullied on /r/news or whatever, everyone loses their mind.       I've never had an internet comment bring me to tears until now. From 3rd grade to 9th grade I was in special education classes for my inability to spell and write. I met some of the most amazing people who I still keep in contact to this day. Some of theses people were born different but it hasn't stop them from being productive members of society and hasn't stop their friends and family from loving them. This person is truly a monster
