Edit: Let me be clear. This was only directed to certain fans from EU who shit on LMQ just for winning a game. However, after reading some comments, you are right. I think it's more appropriate to direct it to ALL ignorant fans. However, I'll keep my original message so people reading will understand the context.

I can't stand the some of the fans of EU who are ignorant. Yeah we get it, LMQ is from China originally. However, our mentality in North America is that we tend to accept those who come here to live their dream. Some of these crappy fans say stuff like "Oh you only cheer for them when they are winning". You are damn wrong. Many supporters of LMQ have risen ever since Day 1 of the LCS because of their play AND their personalities. We've accepted them long before World's happened, so shut the hell up and be positive for a change.

To all the EU fans who aren't ignorant, do not give up on your teams yet. EU teams are strong and there's still hope for them to bounce back. Just respect teams from each region and we'll all be a happy community.

Oh I agree here we are being hypocritical as there are quite a few of the current LMQ fans who are actually just Westerner fans. That being said I think is the state of this community. We get these huge swings of support back and forth but what people fail to realize is that its different people commenting/supporting. It completely baffles me as to how people keep over looking that fact when they complain about the LOL community.

Well, trust me or not - there are a lot eastern fans who support NA scene more than EUs one just because they find it more entertaining. I'm super glad to see how well NA plays this Worlds and I hope all 3 NA teams can make it out of groups, that would definitely shut mouths of those who keep yelling EU > NA. Bullshit. All regions are more or less at the same level and you guys have to accept it, or go home. It's a matter of time when OCE and Brasil will grow strong enough to compete with the best, and those wildcard tournaments make it a lot easier for them to catch up on what they're missing.

Well, to be honest, it's kinda true. I'm an hardcore Fnatic and TSM fan, so I watch both EU and NA LCS whenever I can and we must admit that NA is stronger than EU right now. Maybe not the top teams, I still think the top 2 EU teams are stronger than the top 2 NA teams, but NA as a region is much stronger because the skill gap between top and bottom is a lot smaller in NA.

Hell looking at it I might be able to throw China with Eu and NA as a whole. Though I do agree with the China Talk crew in that China should be a lot better than they are. But I try to be a supporter of anyone that isn't Korea in these international events. Its not that I hate Korea its that I hate the idea of them being as far ahead as they are.

While I agree with the most part (well, with the edit), I really can't stand anymore the "american dream" thing. It is just so naive, we left 19/20th centuries long time ago.

LMQ went to NA because they felt they could do better there than in China (and also probably because the conditions in NA are wayyyy better than in most of the world).

But, they are not an american team (sorry) although they are still representing the NA LCS.

Let's go Western World, I want us to show the East what we can do !

The whole region vs region thing is bullshit.

All the people who tell me UGHH NA>EU or UGHH EU>NA, I tell them, yeah that maybe true, but there are still chinese and koreans that roflstomp us, so why compete against each other?

IDK, but as far as I know, NA has beaten EU the same amount of times EU beat NA. We are all at the same skill level and sometimes its just about pick/ban phase.

EDIT: You shouldn't target only EU fans, but NA fans to for their arrogance.

Just don't lump all EU fans in a bundle. There have been plenty of EU fans from Alliance and Fnatic that have been nothing but supportive of good play and LMQ as a team and their story. Just as there has been NA fans that wish to exclude them from NA LCS. But that choice is also their right, if they feel that LMQ doesn't belong and have a level head while explaining their logic then they shouldn't be shut down for it.

I personally want LMQ to do well, mostly because I hate Fnatic (haha, I already tricked you into liking me Fnatic fans) but if someone doesn't want a certain team to win then they should be allowed to feel that way.

Hell I'm at the point if someone is 1/5 non-korean I will root for that team over the full Korean teams. I really don't care all that much about EU vs NA vs CN as if anything its shown no region is really all that far ahead of the other 2. But I love to see Korea lose just like I love to see the Yankees lose or the Miami Heat.

Everywhere has dumb people. There's a few decent fans around I think who are just supportive in general, I'd like to think I was one of those that commend good plays of all teams irregardless. The NA>EU or EU>NA talk is just a load of shite anyway. Would not surprise me if by the end of the groups NA v EU was 50/50 either.

I really want to see LMQ do well, just unfortunately I don't want it to be at the expense of Fnatic. So of course tomorrow I'll have a favourite in that game, however if LMQ win, they'll have deserved to and definitely proven themselves on the world stage, I'd have to give them huge credit for that.

However I couldn't care less between C9 or ALL, I really like both teams and think they're both very strong. Either progressing is good (and one definitely will) so whichever one does in the end make it out, will have proven again to be the stronger.

You why this is complete bullshit? I'll tell you why, I remember when LMQ first came to LA I didn't even know they were foreign or even competing in the Challenger scene, then I hear that they're from China going to U.S.A to compete, something I thought was very neat because of all the corruption in the LPL. The first thing I see are racist and horrible comments, in their Twitch chats in anything that would have any sort of of communication for LoL fans to type anything. NA is not welcoming to LMQ at all and they know it, their management struggles with helping them overcome their anxiety, how shitty must it because to wake up where you live where most of the people hate you because you went to live your dream? LMQ was NOT supported by U.S.A. And if they win worlds this year they represent LMQ and no country they're a part of because they did it for themselves to prove themselves and to show everyone that it is okay to have an insanely massive dream and that you can do anything you want with hard work. I've believe in LMQ since day 1, since their first streams. Good luck, LMQ, you're against my two favourite teams in this bracket but I believe in you.

Twitch Chat does not represent NAs opinion of LMQ. But good job making it sound like it does. If they win worlds, get out of groups, or lose the rest of their games they will be NA until they leave. The US is a blended nation of all cultures and people, we are european, asian, indian, etc. Yes people are racist, but it is no indicative of the majority of people. u do realize that u to generalize everyone in na? yeah there are some examples of some "fans", like in na lcs where they chanted usa when lmq played. and what followed? exactly.

reddit post about it where many na and americans complained about these people. lets face it. there are some people who don't like the fact that these chinese player came to na but most of na fans accepted lmq as an na team and support them. almost nobody cares that they are from china. they live in na, played through the cs, came to lcs, at least learn a little bit english and try to give some interviews in thislanguage and peole acknowledge that. and for these fact, yes in na and outside of na we actually consider them an na team which represent na lcs.

i followed them since day one and in their first days they had a lot of hype around them and also many followers. by now they still have alot of support by na people. only because some people acting like fucking idiots and racists in twitch chat or talking shit about them doesn't mean the majority thinks that way.

Everytime when any big tournament comes up I cant stress enough because whenever an EU or NA team wins against one another it's always the same bullshit: hurr durr NA>EU hurr durr EU>NA. Honestly I wish EU had teams like LMQ and more foreign players, that would be great.

Why cant we join hands vs the far SUPERIOR Koreans until we have an EU vs NA final and then pick sides (for fun of course). Neither regions have been doing great lol. We all get stomped by Koreans

Nobody liked quantic for a reason they were, cocky c-tier Koreans who thought they could get a free ride to worlds. LMQ from day 1 planned on building a fan base having the players learn english and stream, and interact w/ the fans. LMQ did the regional transition right, and Quantic did not.

Region wars give games a certain air of excitement whether you like it or not. Seeing if NA/EU have caught up to China, seeing if anyone can seriously compete with Korea, seeing who's got the stronger teams between NA and EU, etc, is all apart of the game and it makes things a little better imo.

I honestly love the LMQ players, I wish them the best. But I just don't like the intention. They came to the NA LCS for a better shot at worlds... Now doing your best to reach worlds, I can appreciate that, but this is cutting corners. They did not move to NA, and THEN decide to play in the LCS. Even the new Riot policies show this is not the right mentality, as Riot don't want this to be a thing.

Once again, I love the players, but I will always consider them a Chinese team.

LMQ is apart of NA. They played here, they won here, they lost here, they grew into the NA meta.

They represent NA just as much as TSM and C9.

edit: am i really getting downvoted for saying I believe LMQ represents NA just as much as the other two teams. Considering they adapted to our meta. Not to mention America is a melting pot of nations. I use to think these teams coming over here and trying to make it into Worlds was just them trying to find the easiest route in, but so far the NA has really shown that we can be contenders. LMQ BARELY made it to worlds, and that to me alone shows that NA is really stepping up its game.

You can cheer for them as part of your region, because you see them play in your region.

But you can't cheer for them because "they are literally North American, it's the american dream. they are from NA" like a lot of people have been saying.

They are a Chinese team, born and raised in China, went pro in China, talk only Chinese, with a Chinese staff, who competes in NA and represents the NA region.

english is the easiest language to pick up over night. they are here for half a year, when they came they told people that they are actively learning english. now they can't speak basic english what a 2nd grader can who learnt it in elementary school in europe.

Put it this way... after what LMQ has gone through, they should be considered as an NA team. They practiced in NA. They played in the Challenger Series in NA. They played in the NA LCS and scrimmed with NA LCS teams. Their meta or playstyle has been influenced by NA LCS play. They have taken parts of the NA lifestyle and adapted to their own but that is NA for you.
