I hear you man, but I think some people are more sensitive about people or things that matters to them. For example, I love ultimate frisbee, and have gone on in length to argue with someone that tried to tell me it wasn't a sport. I don't think it has really anything to do with having a sense of humor or not. Even if this guy really doesn't have a sense of humor, he told you pretty simply that he didn't appreciate it didn't he? I dunno, something about him being mocked for having and loving his wife bothers me.
