Great example!!!! Now do "endowed by our creator" and tell me how the VA has more power than "our creator".

It's right before that, in "all men are created equal." Seeing as how you post in blatantly racist subreddits, I find it comical that you quote "inalienable" and "endowed by our creator" yet skip over the parts you don't agree with.

As a side note the Declaration of Independence has no legal standing in America.

Nice deflection!

Its not deflection, you don't have an argument. You're quoting a document with no legal precedence in America. I can quote the Bible the Quran or the Torah, they hold the same legal standing as the DoI. Its a philosophical, historical document.

To answer your question, the Brady Handgun Violence Prevention Act states the following:

"(iv) has not been adjudicated as a mental defective or been committed to a mental institution;

However, is this guy mentaly defective for not being able to handle finances and warranting loss of his second amedment rights based on this?

Depends. We're only seeing half of the paperwork. We know nothing of the situation other than the vague standard letter posted above.

Before jumping to conclusions and by only using the verbage from the letter alone, its a flaw in the Brady Act. Anyone determined to not control their personal finances, whether or not they are a danger to themselves or others, determines if they receive a "fiduciary." That's what the Veterans Second Amendment Protection Act seeks to rectify. I recommend calling your senator, representative, etc and voicing your opinion to them.

And what about the Constitution that you took an oath to uphold?

"and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States"

President Clinton signing the Brady Act into law

"Foreign AND DOMESTIC..."

"Lawful orders..."

Brady Act after ruling by US Supreme Court on constitutionality

In other words... Lawful. And an elected President is far from a Foreign or "Domestic" threat and you so implied.
