Awesome, I now have high hopes for a high end Minecraft 2. Love the first, can't wait to see what MS brings to it.

I hope they don't play it that way the minecraft model has been fantastic the only reason somebody would release a minecraft 2 is for money grabbing reasons.

There's lot's they could do and at the same time keep it's core value. If every one thought like that we would have no Final Fantasy 7 or GTAV. Sequels are not always money grabs, some do actually add to games.

I can understand for Final fantasy or GTA because those are story driven games. Minecraft is an open sandbox there is no need to make a minecraft 2 what are they going to do update the graphics...

Take my thoughts with a grain of salt, I'm not a programmer, but from my understanding the base code of Minecraft is kinda awful. If they tapped into the huge coding base of Microsoft and re-made the code, upped the graphics, threw in the Azure cloud computing power...might be worth it.

Hey I'd be happy with it if they fixed up the coding but it works as it is and it works well.
