I’m sick of idiots who claim that the younger generation is spoiled and entitled it’s a stupid ass commentary that has been happening since society began.

The reason I’m arguing about it is exactly what I said above. It’s just a “when I was your age” strawman argument. It’s idiotic and lazy thinking. If you have to say “reverse” before a problematic ideology it implies that it is the action of being not of being targeted. (I don’t agree with critical race theory but it’s still just called racism if it’s racism.) The “victim complex” is intensified in the Tumblr environment for obvious reasons if you actually thought about how this site works. An idea thought of by one person gets passed around and at a certain point in the amount of notes it gets, people will begin to think everyone believes this, even if a large chunk of the notes are commentary arguing against it. It’s the perfect way to get impressional young people to think a certain way as they do not have the critical analysis skills to look at things critically. Same for the extremes people go into feminism that is really just purist mentality and on par with white nationalists that believe in segregation. It’s all because of a skewed understanding of the Critical Race Theory and not understanding the word “appropriation”. Also giving the spot light to a few extremes that don’t actually know what they’re talking about. 

I’m not excusing anyone, my argument was about one aspect of what she was saying. Which was a skewed perception of the past vs the present. These kids are just trying to make the world a better place. They are misguided and angry but who wouldn’t be when adults act like that instead of even trying to understand this generation or explaining, rationally, the flaws in their arguments?
