Considering you appear to be one of the devs, this is a pretty funny.

You guys are on a roll today! Let's see how many more people you can drive away from using your mod :D

Actually yes... yes... you are probably the only person who reads the readme.

Let me spell it out for you, readme files are like TOS agreements. You SHOULD read it all from start to finish, but unless you have a specific reason to do so at the time of the installation, 99% of end users won't.

That is why it is so important to make sure you have a user friendly and intuitive interface.

A thousand times this. If you keep getting the same questions over and over, then you are doing something wrong. People can sympathize with the frustration, however it does not excuse being an assclown.

I used to run a forum that averaged 10,000 unique visitors per month. We had an FAQ and Rules page linked on every page of the site. Most people don't bother reading it, and all the staff where well aware of it. As a result, we came up with effective ways of dealing with it, and understood that this comes with being popular.

And that was a bunch of socially inept furfags. What's you're excuse, HoxHUD?

No it's not the TOS, it's a readme written to help troubleshoot the game. Any person who has dealth with mods knows the readme is important because mods more often than not require modifying existing files and will come with all sorts of problems. If you are ignoring an entire document written to help you with issues then you are a moron.

It is however important to note something that most critics here, including the devs, missed here.

I didn't ask for how to remove the file. I know I can do that. I asked if there is an option in the Hoxhud settings collection that can do it.

If you are ignoring an entire document written to help you with issues then you are a moron.

Or maybe you're totally wrong, and your definition of a moron and a "Readme" file should be revised.

"Readme" files are made for :

  • Install / config infos
  • Bugs fixes
  • Changelog
  • Copyright
  • ASCII Art
  • and sometimes, Troubleshooting (Yeah because in 2014 people use forum for troubleshoot... and get insulted)

Trust me I'm a heavy user of "Readme" files.

P.S. I personally think that you are a rude, simple minded person and you deserved bird poop on your head.
