You know, I really wished he screenshotted the lines that got the 20 or so people got kicked from the clan chat. Bit stupid on that guy's part to say "Does it really need an explanation?", he could've just said that he kicked them for the wrong reasons and then he might have gotten away with it.
Although muting someone five times is extremely redundant especially for a JMod that's supposed to know what he's doing.

Exactly. I've never been in Zezimas FC, but to me it looks like Mod Infinity cleaned up and people got mad about it and are now posting only their half of what happened. Maybe he overreacted, but the fact that he doesn't have screenshots of the FC itself just makes it look like that. Telling a JMod to gtfo isn't the brightest idea either, maybe not worthy of a week long mute, but we haven't seen the other 4(!) things he got muted for. But posting this in /r/07scape would be pointless, the circlejerk is strong over there. "ERMAGERD HE MUTED US FOR BEING THE POSSIBLY MOST TOXIC FC IN RS, HOW DARE HE?!?"

The multiple mutes are probably to raise his ban/mute meter. The chat must have been breaking a lot of rules.

He is a cunt. He always does shit like this to try and seem powerful and big yet him and his friend/partner Mod Balance who were hired at the same time and are both from RuneZone are useless mods. They tried to enforce rules about mouse keys on the High Level Forums but they had no idea what mouse keys even were or how they worked and ended up having to get an actual jmod to come in and clarify what they were trying to say because they were so useless.

Also he knows literally nothing about RS and has a sub 1k total level main account yet seems to think he's amazing. I've known of his uselessness for ages now and I hope that more people can see it soon. He is the worst person that jagex employ and with all of his fansite bias, asshole behaviour and stupidity I hope that he isn't an employee for much longer

There's so much missing information in this story there's no way anyone can make a fair judgement. OP clearly was trying to skew the information in his favor and, while that doesn't necessarily mean he was wrong, it means we're missing half the debate.

There's so many comments here from people who sound like they want to ride infinity's junk.

The original poster was issued 5 infractions within the span of one day, and logged out of the game. All the guy did was tell Infinity to gtfo of a clan chat because he had no place there. Which he didn't. There is a report system for a reason. You report someone, a staff members reviews the report, and takes correct action. A JMod shouldn't go looking for trouble.

Dick mod being a dick.

We don't know this is actually all the guy did. We have no evidence.

What we do know is Infinity confronted the player in game to continue the issue. Frankly it's borderline entrapment at that point. I disagree with this action.

I do have a big problem with the evidence not being present and it basically being Infinity's word. I feel like that's an open-shut area for abuse.

The position of Player Moderators is ridiculous. If they are just an Events Team, then remove the mute. They aren't given much feedback on how it's used, the reporting accuracy of Player Moderators (which used to be ~90% [muting was higher still]) has been in decline for years.

They don't need the mute to do Twitter parties.

It's not a circle jerk it's truth and no ones saying he shouldn't of been punished even op said that in the 2007 post.. Infinity gave him 5 infractions over that which is power abuse.

Honestly, this is not ok. There is a profanity filter for a reason and talking about drugs is not that big of a deal. If needed add the person to your ignore list. It's there for a reason.

While we may not be seeing the full story here, from what we can see, Mod Infinity seems to be abusing his powers. Hopefully a Jmod will reply to either this thread, or the thread on /r/2007scape, but I doubt it.

It just doesn't look like there is any other explanation other than power hungry. Basically he didn't like your opinion so he muted you when you didn't break any rules because as far as I know, cursing is allowed to some extent in the game.

People have to realise swearing towards someone is not allowed. Even if you have the profanity filter off.

You can indeed swear; "Holy fuck balls farming is slow", you cannot say "Holy fuck balls you are fucking slow". If it's directed towards someone it is indeed against the rules. But yes this situation seems a little off.
