It is a pretty bad article. All they say is about the release is

"No Man’s Sky will be released for the PlayStation 4 and PC in 2015. It seems unlikely that the game will be out for the Xbox One."

They have no explanation on where they got this information or anything. I wouldn't trust it.

He has a point, its a rumor, nothing more. This does not add to anything about the game other than giving it a specific year its coming out. There really isn't much to see here, beside speculation. I think the majority of prospective players would appreciate more concrete information about NMS. I know I would.

Right. Which is why I tagged it "Rumor" in the first place. The date has been speculated by all of us. This is the third time in a week I've seen it printed as 2015, so I thought I'd share.

The whole reason for starting this sub was to be a "free place" to discuss rumors, thoughts, ideas, questions, theory. Not to get sardonic when someone posts something that hasn't been posted.

Not trying to be sardonic, im sorry i came across like that, rumors dont do much or provide any useful information is my point. They are not good talking points too IMO, its just a bunch of what-ifs and could-be's. But hey, some people love the rumor mills and eat it up as if it was news from the devs themselves, and if it sparks conversation in this sub then post the shit of the rumors.

No I meant the "Nothing to see here, move along" post by the other guy. Who made him the police of the sub? I mean, we have next to no information about this fucking game. I try to keep things interesting by doing give-a-ways and posting what I consider discussion worthy content that hasn't been posted yet and I get that kind of shit. And obviously I marked it as "Rumor" and said "potential" in the title. Just... fucking irritates me.

Thanks, I feel we have a really good community, but the other mods and myself have all seen a spike in the amount of inappropriate (often hivemind) comments since we reached 4k. It happens. Growing pains I guess.

A rumor would be 'heard from somebody close to HG' or something alike. This is a worthless speculation based on nothing. It doesn't add anything.

this release window has been speculated by every gaming site under the sun. the source doesn't cite any reason for why this 2015 date is credible.

on a side note, the article itself does not provide any new information other than recycling the same talking points that have been reported on many times over

no disrespect intended, but it's just best not getting people riled up with what surmounts to clickbait.
