Hi. I use Firefox 17 linux and "select some text on the page and get URL with hashtag referring to the selection" does not work. Am I doing anything wrong? Load page, select text, use bookmarklet.

You should select text on already saved page.
Use bookmarklet, get snapshot, select text on it, copy url with hashtag from the address bar. -
will you delete some pages if government of Russia will ask you about it? there is disgusting issues with censorship nowadays and they try to hide some information from people and to force sites to cut off whatever they want even without a decision of court.
We hide some pages about DIY drugs. You have to be outside of Russia (or use a proxy) to see them.

What's the point of this when the Internet Archive is already out there with the Wayback machine (which is far more complete)?
The difference is under the hood: wget vs. (almost) full browser engine. It allows to handle some pages more accurately.

Even if you don't want to make public your source code, I would like to see some GNU project like yours, so anybody can save and zip any webpage. I know there is MAFF extension on Firefox, but a PHP project would be great. I don't have any coding knowledge, but I know how to run a forum or a WAMP. Another great service is HTTrackOnline-eu an online service similar to the windows freeware "WinHTTrack" but it's not open source. May be you can get inspired and publish something similar. Thanks! :)

Instagram engineers were faster than me in fixing this bug :)

We love using archive today to create snapshots of comments in blogs like Livejournal. One of archive today's better features is when it unspools or expands all the comments so that you can capture an entire discussion. Would it be possible to do this for Dreamwidth, a blogging platform that uses much the same code as Livejournal?
