Proof that this is bullshit

What I did: took 2 screenshots, first screen is when Arin started saying "ok" and pressing the A button, the second 15 frames later where the last frame of that was being shown (this means after this frame Arin couldn't have possible seen what the scrolling posts would be like).

Don't wanna make this long so you can see that I did this in photoshop, resized the website post to the video box of what would have been there (you can cross check this by doing your own assessment of what the picture size would be like, if I got the wrong size it could've been by mere pixels).

TL;DR Arin couldn't have possibly seen that the post was about Jon because when he pressed A to skip that screen of the game, the game hadn't shown the "Jontron" part yet.

Edit: To be quite honest, I'm just tired of the whole conspiracy thing. It's like everyone wants to BELIEVE that something terribly shady went on. I just wanna watch their videos and have fun, not analyze anything they said to justify their breakup. I get it that we're all curious to why it happened but I feel like THEY feel that it wouldn't be right to talk about it. So they just avoid it. And if you ask me, that's ok.

I don't have a Wii U (yet) so I don't know how the Miiverse thing works. Is it possible that he saw that post somewhere else between episodes, or would it be locked to that level specifically?

It'd be locked to that level. The posts you see at the end of stages are posted by people who also completed the same stage.

They're locked to the levels. Before Grumps were plastered all over it, it usually had people stating best times or where to get difficult stars/stamps.

I don't want to take sides, but please consider that audio from the mic and video from the game aren't necessarily synced correctly. I record a LOT of video the same way they do, and it's really hard to be 100% exact in the syncing.

A few of their early video had atrocious syncing with sometimes secondes of delay between action and reaction. I'm sure Barry is doing a better job than Jon did when he edited the videos, but unless they changed their settings, it's probably still recording audio and video separetly

Why does it matter if he acknowledged it or not during the recording? It could've also been a decision in post-edit.

I mean we can all imagine what the comments on the video would be if such a note were to appear.
