Tickets for the Japanese boy band Arashi's "Blast in Hawaii" concerts on Sept. 19 and 20 at Ko Olina Resort go on sale on Saturday, Tom Moffatt Productions said Monday.

This will be the first time the tickets for the concerts marking Arashi's 15th anniversary — the band officially formed on Sept. 15, 1999, in Hawaii — are being made available to the general public.

Previously, tickets were only available for fan club members who bought tour packages through Japan-based companies Jalpak, JTB and H.I.S. Prices for the tour packages varied, with some online websites quoting between 270,000 to 550,000 yen, or $2,600 to $5,400.

Organizers are expecting about 15,000 people will attend each concert. Approximately half of the tickets will be made available to the general public, said Barbara Saito of A Tom Moffatt Production

The concert will be held at an outdoor venue fronting Naia Lagoon 3 at Ko Olina Resort. Gates will open at 4:30 p.m., with the concert starting at 5:30 p.m.

General admission tickets for both shows go on sale at 9 a.m. HST on Saturday via Ticketmaster, by phone at 1 (800) 745-3000, or at all Ticketmaster outlets including Walmart stores and the Blaisdell Box Office, which only accepts cash. Prices are $150 for adults and $75 for children between the ages of 3 and 15. Nominal service charges apply at all outlets.

According to the press release, in order to prevent fraud and scalping, Arashi's concerts will utilize the paperless credit card entry system. This means the purchasing credit card will be scanned at the gate for entry, and there is a limit of four tickets per credit card.

As of Tuesday, concert information was not posted on Ticketmaster's website, but it should be available later this week, Saito said.
