I wonder if those democrats know what they are doing... They know this will only help him in the presidential primaries and he can raise more money now that he is the victim of a ridiculous abuse of power. I still don't think he will be able to beat Rand though.

Seriously. All he has to say is "This, the IRS, the NSA, Benghazi, and any number of other incidents are examples of the lengths the Democrats will go to to try and silence their opponents."

And the name of the third government agency he would have eliminated I'd he was elected president.

Right? And that was all over the media constantly. SNL making jokes, late night comedians, John Stewart, Colbert, etc. etc.

"I've now been in 57 states -- I think one left to go." -Barack Obama

But it's not as funny when a democrat makes a gaffe, huh?

I like rand

... but I still prefer Ron

Ron would do nothing about ISIS, unfortunately. You may not want to stop them, but I do. They are too resourceful to not respond to.

I wonder what the NAP says we should do in regards to idiots murdering people around the world.

if the USA would stop getting involved in those affairs, other countries would step up to waste their blood and treasure

eventually those fundamentalist countries would eat themselves and become unimportant if the money flow for oil stopped, spent better on new technologies

It's as if we are not already looking for alternatives. We've been looking into alternative fuels for decades. You know what we don't have in the mainstream market? Alternatives. When the world drifts away from oil- then yes, they'll collapse. But they are funded because there is a need for a resource they are sitting on.

Who is to say that other countries would step in? Look at Syria. Look at Sudan. Look at the Congo. Look at Rwanda. We set the example and others follow. Europe isn't acting. Asia, Russia isn't acting. Who do we look to for our own national security? The United States. We are the solely responsible for our own national security and should take steps to ensure Americans are safe.

No other country would. Especially Europe, they are only good at throwing snide remarks when we are actually doing something. Beforehand? Quietly they stare at us, hoping their weakness doesn't get called out.

Wanting to stop isis!=sending US troops.

Encourage the Kurds/Hezbollah/Christians/Yezedis/Turks/Iranians/non-ISIS coalition (ffs this even includes al quaeda) to give them the boot vigourously; however, fund none of them.

What about the Iraqi army? What did they do in the face of ISIS? They ran! That's the problem with these armies. They are under trained, under manned, under funded. We can throw tons of guns and ammo, but what happens? ISIS captures it. Now who did we just fund?

I agree.

A huge problem is that if he had not been involved they would have been much more likely do devolve in to seperate ethnic/religious states, which would probably help solve a lot of the conflict. Mixed religious ethnic states are more trouble then they are worth imho, you end up with people trying to jockey democracy to their own ends.

our military has plenty of vigorous encouragement that's just waiting and ready. it would be a waste not to leverage those resources.

The guy is a clown. Him getting far in the primaries will help the Democrats. I'm surprised he even has this much support around here. He's completely unelectable.

Yeah, the job he's done here in Texas really sucks. I mean, the fact that I didn't even feel the recession and that my house has increased in value every year sucks, man! We're completely out of touch with the rest of the US!

Because Perry pulled Texas out of the pits of economic disrepair?

I didn't even feel the recession and that my house has increased in value every year

If only every state could have a booming oil industry.

Look at California. They could have a booming oil industry and an economy that dwarfs all other states but noooo, they are extremely anti-fracking and drilling, and instead choose to sit on the oil. Meanwhile gas prices are ridiculously high, the state economy is rather shitty, and California is about to spend several billion on a close to useless high speed rail.

States have choices, and while Texas and Rick Perry shall reap the benefits of their choices, California shall face the consequences of their own.

Texas had a booming oil industry long before Perry was governor.

And he has the good sense to not destroy it.

My point exactly

[–]Anarcho_Capitalist 1 ポイント2 ポイント  (1子コメント)

To be fair. Not destroying something is not the same as creating it.

Who is arguing that Rick Perry created the oil industry?

If you think it's all from oil, you don't know much about Texas.

I agree that he self immolated in the 2012 debates, however I think you underestimate the guy. He has done quite well governing Texas. It's the reverse of Obama: better at actually doing than just talking about it.

I seriously hope he runs though, it would split the hard core Neo-Conservative vote and help Rand/Ted.

Rand is gonna make a great VEEP, but the dude is not gonna be a good presidential candidate. I admire his unique strategy of trying to open up the base, but college voters just aren't that big of a group, versus getting all the lost base voters that sat out Romney.

Perry is making the right moves, plus he's got swagger.

[–]Anarcho_Capitalist -1 ポイント0 ポイント  (3子コメント)

Perry is a fucking retard. AND YOU KNOW IT.

he's not a retard, he's just a terrible public speaker
