...for being a space that I can go to without having to "grow a thicker skin" and deal with people using slurs to degrade my gender. I just (foolishly) made a post about this on TwoX and it was not nicely received. I guess I just have to get over it and accommodate for other people's shitty behavior. I can't believe that discouraging gendered slurs is considered controversial in a WOMEN'S SUBREDDIT.

Yeah, it bothers me that the sub caters to men. This is one of the few places within Reddit that doesn't care about men's fefes and it's GREAT.

TrollX is becoming like that too. I had to unsub after seeing too many "as a man...." comments and threads titled "How I feel as a man here"... omg just fuck off seriously

And to make it even more obnoxious, dudes even created a TrollY sub, copying the TrollX sub. They have their own sub to circlejerk about things, why do they need to invade the women's sub??!?!?!?

That's why I love srs so much. The mods here give zero shits about "what about da menz" and neither do I. Women need a safe place on reddit.

I have to disagree with you there.

First off, TrollX is not supposed to be a safe place for women or a serious sub for that matter.

TrollX and TrollY are brother and sister subreddits, TrollX considers them allies, users post in both subreddits and they generally have the same frame of mind regarding feminism and gender roles. Redpillers are banned on sight and mean and nasty comments are immediately deleted in both subs. They're really nice subreddits in my opinion if you want a bit of fun and a positive crowd.

I hang around there a lot and find it really nice, the men who post things there (and in TrollY) typically embrace feminism. Those two subs are nothing like TwoX is lately and unfortunately.

I never liked TwoX very much in the first place, but maybe I'm just bitter about not actually having two x's... :( at least around here people don't seem to mind too much. Now after TwoX went default it has been going downhill really quickly.

For some reason, I decided to wander over to the "new" section and now I'm engaged in three or four separate conversations with men acting like shitheads. I've reported so many violations and I don't think any mods are actually listening. Going default was the worst decision ever.

Thank God for this place.

It's really, really gone downhill. And yeah, I have my own issues with SRS, but above all it's amazing how there's really an effort made here to make it a space that isn't like the rest of Reddit. I can come here for a nice breather, you know? I wish SRS Women was more active!

If you need more subs to choose from, check out my enormous list. Subs with poor moderation or bad mods have warnings on them, or are in a warning section.

TwoX has a "no misandry" rule in the sidebar, and did for ages before becoming a default. Nuff said.

Also, come check out /r/femmethoughts. We're pretty awesome.

Wow, what a shitty thread. I cannot believe how many people want to hold onto their precious privilege to say whatever they want without other people being hurt by it. Like, is using the c-word REALLY that important to you?
