Graphic Design Work for Nonclassical Record Label
Nonclassical are a small independent contemporary classical record label and club night in East London. Nonclassical is part of a new scene in London, breaking out of the constraints of the traditional concert halls and putting on music in clubs and bars in Hackney and Dalston. We also release cutting edge contemporary classical music – each album containing a set of remixes. We’ve had Hot Chip, Thom Yorke, Murcoff and more remix our tracks. In our club nights, young classical musicians play, interspersed by Djs, all to a crowd of 18 – 40s. Main duties
It is our 10th birthday, and to mark it we are putting on a a series of local, national and international events and gigs. We’re looking for designer to create a new look to accompany this, a look that reflects our energy, passion and optimism for exciting music in the face of much dross.
Here are the key pointers:
Remixing – as I said, remixing is a big part of what we do.
Colourful, not too formal, a friendly feel – we’re not too po-faced about what we do. We’re friendly and open.
Particularly interested in design that has an illustrative feel
Makes reference to classical instruments or imagery or notation
Appeal to broad 18 – 40 audience
As you can see on our pinterest page, there is an influence of a specific type of vintage poster on our inspiration tab, and you can see our previous poster designs there too.

As you will see, we have had many designs in the past but we would like to make this commemorative 10 years design more exciting and collectable with an understanding of where we have come from design-wise.
If you are interested, please can you let us know what you would charge for:
An A2 poster/ A5 flyer. This would be used for all events during the anniversary season. We would need an online version and a physical version. This would be a standard template that you would modify for the 5 different events in the programme. We want a collectable-looking poster – something iconic, something people would want to hang on their walls. We would need it to be used for physical and online ie able to be modified into an online banner for Facebook, twitter etc
Deadline
We’ll need final artwork by 15th August -

Proven experience in graphic design for physical and digital channels -
