Zan's Minimap Mod for MinecraftZan’s Minimap (also known as VoxelMap) is a modification for Minecraft 1.7.10, 1.7.2 and 1.6.4 that adds a fully functional minimap (like the ones in WoW, Guildwars) on the right corner of your screen. Zan’s Minimap is very similar to Rei’s minimap but it has some extra options for customization. It has support for square map, waypoint beacons, death marker and better rendering. 1. Do you know how you can get the map to show up the extrabiomes blocks and trees? I’ve tried looking and couldn’t find it.

  2. It won’t install! I put the files into the minecraft.jar but still, when I started up minecraft it didn’t register it.

    One question: Why?

    thanks

  3. WTF y change it so u havet to use forge or mode loader it was fine :(
i use mc patcher cus it easy and if i mess up i dont havet to restart it all again plzz change it back :(

  4. Hey :D I was using minimap and I must have accidentally pressed a button, because my map ended up covering my screen almost completely, and I can’t get it to go away. Any suggestions would REALLY be helpful XD I can log into a different profile at launcher for now, but plz help meh! thanks :D

  5. Ive noticed when switching to a different world on my server the waypoints still show, is there a way to hide them so they dont carry over to other worlds?

  6. hello

Iv been trying to get this mod and any other mini map mod to work without much success for some reason its not adding them at all it keeps telling me I only have 57 mods installed even after iv added them I have no error report or id post that iv looked around but can not find any answers so I decided to post this and hope I can get some help

    • Doesn’t freakin’ work! Forge only lists the three built-in mods.
Also putting it into the jar doesn’t work.

Also, why is every tutorial still telling to use the /bin/minecraft.jar when it’s obsolote for so long? The jar files are now in the /versions/ folder.

  7. I can run this mod on the client, not problem (using minecraft forge).

However, when I try to run a multiplayer server on the same machine this mod loaded fine for the client, I get a server crash:

    Encountered an unexpected exception NoClassDefFoundError
    java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: net/minecraft/client/renderer/EntityRenderer

    Any ideas?
I am using this server command line:
    “C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin\java” -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar minecraftforge-universal-1.6.4-9.11.1.965-v164-pregradle.jar

  8. For the time being I resolved the issue by installing the server into a separate folder and removing this mod from the server folder. It’s not a big deal to have them in 2 places, but not the easiest way either.

  9. I wanted some thing that every one on a server would be able to see. The idea is to create and waypoint where everyone can see it. Is this even possible. I tried adding this mod to my server and it crached my server. I added to my minecraft game with out errors or crashes.

  10. Where can I find useful info about this mod, like which shortcut keys (if any) will allow me to scroll around the already-generated map area, and not just where my character currently is?

  11. How to install mods:
    1. Download Forge (1.7.2 etc.) ( installer )
    2. Double click the installer (when you have installed it on your desktop)
    3. Hit the ‘install’ button. A window should pop up. Just let it run until it’s done.
    4. Open your Minecraft Installer and click on ‘Forge’ (In the drop down menu where your username is next to the ‘Play’/'Play offline’ button) and run Minecraft. Your new menu should include another tab that says ‘Mods’. It should work (it worked for me :P )
    5. Close minecraft and go to start and hit ‘Run’. Type in %appdata% into the box
    6. Click the ‘.minecraft’ folder and open the mods folder. ( if there isn’t, create a folder inside .minecraft that says ‘mods’)
    7. Download the mod (in this case, Zan’s Minimap) and drag it into the mods folder.
    8. Run minecraft and click the mods folder. The mod should be located inside.

Hope this helped. That’s how I do it.

  12. Hello!

When I set a new waypoint, there is no problem…BUT:
I go into the menu, but I can’t teleport to the waypoint.
Why? How can I fix it?
    Please help!!!
    Thx
    xD

  13. I noticed there is huge black blocks showing up on the minimap again. (some time ago in 2013 this happened once) It looks like it has to do with thaumcraft 4. and the angry zombies. (I imagine it might blockout others, but I haven’t found them yet) Right now I have them turned off my radar, as a work around.

ps. another kudos, I so love this map. Any chance you can make the waypoint list a hotkey option too? I know there’s one to add waypoint, but no easy way to jump to the list to teleport around?
