Now you can't call them unintelligent, you have to call them "less fortunate." Now send them your money please.

And don't forget to apologize for having access to statistics, and for potentially being white.

I'm an intern with my local community foundation and we have to call them "underresourced."

[–]oldmethodswork 5 ポイント6 ポイント

Isn't that insulting to those of us that work hard, though. In effect, we didn't work harder or smarter, we didn't sacrifice more and make hard choices few men make. Nope, we are just more fortunate.

[–]Buck8407 2 ポイント3 ポイント

For every achievement you have, you should feel bad that there are those out there that don't try as hard.... Excuse me.... They don't have the same resources as you did.

[–]oldmethodswork 1 ポイント2 ポイント

I should feel bad that while I put in 60-70 hour weeks in total with work, school, and housework, my friends thought 40 hours was enough.

Every 2 years, it's like I've been in the workforce for another year. And I should pay for that? I should pay for not going on vacations, for dressing professionally and reading countless productivity books while working my way up a company. Where is the justice? My bigger paycheck is my compensation for my sacrifices that I make. Those beneath me were compensated at the beach with their 6 packs.

Don't send the money directly to the "less fortunate". Send it to the government first and let the politicians siphon off their share. Have to actually keep them poor if they are going to keep voting Dem.

Excellent point.

[–]BabalonRising 14 ポイント15 ポイント

So...is anyone supposed to be surprised that people vote according to their (self perceived) interests? Republican voters included?

[–]PhilosoGuidoConstitutionalist 2 ポイント3 ポイント

Maybe the big government, crony capitalist RINOs are only interested in their self interests. However, true Conservatives know that preserving the civil society and the rule of law are far more important than some tax break or government handout. We don't believe on using the power of government to confiscate what we did not earn from someone else and redistribute to ourselves via the ballot box.

It's not that liberals don't know anything. It's that so much of what they "know" isn't so. I almost wouldn't mind if liberals won every election as long as they were informed and knew what they were voting for. Of course, many vote blindly hoping for handouts. But many get wrapped up in puerile personality cults. These last two presidential elections were sad children's crusades where much was assumed and the rest taken for granted. The media shoved Potentate Obama into office like an oily eel on greased grooves and the disregarded masses went along for the ride. Now, few on the Left argue honestly against the fact we have a dangerous, disaffected, disgruntled, disaster in office.

These same people claim they now want to jump on hoary Hillary to champion poor people as president. The corrupt Clinton cabal have unabashedly accepted huge cash bribes from just about every sleazy despot and unprincipled greed head on the planet to the tune of $200 million, not including the untold cash funneled into their phony charity. Yet the average liberal claims they actually believe these howling hypocrites care about women and minorities, all evidence to the contrary.

If these liberals were making informed, unemotional choices, I could suffer the bad governments they vote in without gnashing my teeth or rending my clothes. Instead, these liberals are often so delusional the results are as insufferable to me as they are a surprise to those that voted.

[–]simples2 11 ポイント12 ポイント

Interesting. Now look at race and voting preferences. It tells you a lot.

[–]wiseprogressivethink 3 ポイント4 ポイント

Yep. Basically, white people lean Republican, while everyone else overwhelmingly votes Democrat.

And some people still wonder why the Left keeps pushing the "Republicans are waycis" line. Isn't it obvious? They've got to keep nonwhites terrified of the prospect that those evil Republicans are going to, say, reinstate slavery ( http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2012/08/vp-biden-says-republicans-are-going-to-put-yall-back-in-chains ), or that Republicans are enemies of Hispanic Americans ( http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/harry-reid-i-dont-know-how-anyone-hispanic-heritage-could-be-republican http://www.cis.org/renshon/obama-punish-our-enemies ), or else more nonwhite voters might start to critically examine the consequences of voting for Democrats and begin to rethink their political choices.

Talk Radio (mostly conservative)

  • "people who listen to news/talk radio on a regular basis are generally politically and economically active, in addition to being affluent and well-educated, when compared to the general U.S. population, other mass media consumers and specifically the audiences of music radio."

  • "significant percentage of listeners are independent."

  • "News/talk listeners are very politically active and are more likely to vote than the audiences of any other radio format, not to mention the audiences/readerships of most other entertainment and information media."

But according to reddit we are just a bunch of racist shills who do not understand science. Go figure.

More indoctrinated. The liberal professors and instructors do such a disservice to these students. I have fresh batch of temps every year and almost none have any clue how society operates. I remember finishing my 6 years of college indoctrinated, and it took me almost a decade to unwind the mess they put in my head.

[–]baldyloxLibertarian Conservative 0 ポイント1 ポイント

How much of that is due to that fact that young people today don't enter the workforce until after college?

I'm 44. When I was a teenager & college age - everyone had a job outside of school - usually even the rich kids.

Today it's perfectly normal to graduate from college at 22-23, with $100,000 in student loan debt and absolutely no work history.

Kids don't even mow laws, rake leaves, shovel snow, or babysit to make extra money before they're old enough to hold a real job.

A handful do, but they're an exception today.

If you've never had an actual job, and saw tax withholding from your paycheck every week, and a boss that was a total asshole, and everything that comes with working, then you couldn't be expected to know how the real world works. These kids won't figure that out until they're in their late 20's.

[–]bunknownConservative 0 ポイント1 ポイント

I think part of the problem is the student loan debt. Teenagers who enter college today do not give a second thought about the money issue. They are told by their school just fill out this form, and everything is paid for.

What then is the difference between giving college away for free, and filling out a form? Some later in life will realize what a mistake it was, while others will work away with such a big burden of debt on them.

The solution is to better stress the implications of student debt. Tell them Yes, state school is not attractive, but it is your best option. Tell them that a degree in Art History will not bring as big, or any, bucks as say a degree in civil engineering.

Lastly, taking the private sector out of student loans was/is the biggest mistake of all. There needs to be more realism in student debt, not uncle barry land.

Good post. If you look at exit polling data from recent presidential elections, Democrats do very well among two groups: the sub-literate masses, and academic elitists. Republicans do well with everyone else. Unfortunately, there are an awful lot of sub-literate voters out there. And they are being successfully manipulated by Marxists with letters after their names.

Middle-class Middle Americans are being crushed from above and below by Ivy League-educated billionaires and their mob of mindless sheeple demanding free shit.
