That's why there is an option to choose between bambi, normal, and hardcore. Potentially a realistic option in the future.

What annoys me are the people asking for a trading system to be implemented to avoid scams.. In a post-apocalyptic survivor game. It's a game that's not supposed to be very rewarding, survival should be a struggle. You're supposed to not be able to trust people, if somebody scams you for your new Timberwolf, then put a couple of bullets in the back of their head and take it back. Or forfeit, in a real life scenario, you wouldn't have a magical way of retrieving your items should the deal fall through. I mean, yeah, I wish people would be less prone to kill on sight for the hell of it, but if you want to counteract that, then get a good group of players to play with that can agree to not kill on sight. Or play PVE. I personally like having the option of beating looters and bandits in the face with a baseball bat when they're attempting to loot my base, but not die just because somebody saw me. But that's what I gotta deal with until I find better players.

i dont get why some of you guys get so butthurt about this. if people want to play "baby mode" to get all the good items easy as fuck thats their thing. why would this make the game worse for you? if you dont want to play like that, dont chose the mode. i play easy since i want to build a nice base with a friend, get some good items and i enjoy the game.

This is an unprofessional way to address an issue with posting on this sub. You're a mod for christ sake.

Not only is this post addressing a minuscule issue (because there will always be similar posts, presuming the age group of this subreddit isn't exactly on par with more mature subs, I've never even read a post asking for easier modes. Even if I did, there's no problem with a civilized discussion about suggestions. Maybe your so called 'baby mode' can be a difficulty setting for the game. No need to shoot down ideas because you have strict ideals for the game.

If you thought that was all, it feels like OP has zero idea what he's talking about, but feels entitled to make statements as if they are 100 percent valid such as this games mechanics having nothing wrong, or what a zombie survival game is supposed to be about.

To sum up PvE, it is a safe haven for players who like more casual gaming and is a great way to practice crafting and base building. But after that, there's really not much else about it, but to kill zombies - really easy zombies. That's a mechanical issue with the game, since games are supposed to be fun, yet the current way zombies are set up, the player base feels it's boring.

PvP servers are what I like to call, normal. I don't even know why servers are even being labeled that anymore, when the game is meant to be a survival game and not an FPS shooter. The only issue I see, besides the mechanical issue with the guns being too easy to control thus making killing too easy, is that the people who argue about such things are extremely biased. The players who are generally aren't good at the game will complain about dying, and the players who are generally better at the game, complain about 'bad' players complaining. I haven't seen much people argue from an level perspective. Think about the reason why the complain and work together to formulate ideas that will make everyone happy.

Instead, you're hearing suger coating a moderators entitlement to moderate, with a poor argument that's clearly and heavily one-sided.

Why is this even stickied? Because you're a moderator, it gives you the right to tell people not to post suggestions/requests because you think you know what the game is about and how it's 'meant' to be played?

If I were you I would revise this post and just make it about kindly asking people to tone down certain post topics, instead of going all Kim Jong Un ignorant edition on the subreddit.

P.S. There was a DayZ server network for Minecraft called MineZ, under a very (well used to be) successful network called Shotbow. MineZ was very challenging at times. Minecraft alone isn't even centered around 'fighting off zombies.' Goes to show how much OP knows about things.

Sorry for long rant, this mod post just happened to get under my skin, being stickied to the top of the sub, being the useless post it is.

I am generally pretty bad at any game that involves shooting, and the main reason I stopped playing Apocalypse Rising was because I got tired of getting killed over and over due to my terrible aim. The reason why I play Unturned is that the singleplayer lets me enjoy all the aspects of zombie killing and survival without getting shot in the head every 2 minutes by a bandit. Sure, PvP can be fun at times, but if you suck like me, singleplayer or playing with friends on one of their servers are viable alternatives.

To be honest, this isn't a game based around hardcore survival. It's piss easy to survive in Unturned as it currently is. This game is about having fun. That's what games are for - enjoying yourself. There will always be people who like to shit all over other people, because to them that is fun. Sure, the whining gets annoying, but it'll die down once servers can be moderated properly and their own server rules can be properly implemented and enforced.

Just put up with it for now until the steam servers get fixed up because complaining about people who complain about things is still complaining.

I don't like PVP, however it's not wrong. PVP is good. It's people who are fucked up.

I stopped taking you seriously at "younger players" as if you think people can be generalised entirely on age, a factor which they cannot control, and that you are better merely by being older.

[–]MyspeldGold 1 ポイント2 ポイント

I agree that young age shouldn't be a factor in most cases but the majority of the time it will be for this type of thing. It's a free to play game with Roblox/Minecraft level graphics. I agree and disagree to what the mod is saying, I think he could have worded it better but it was all true.

[–]SlayG 4 ポイント5 ポイント

Age isn't always what makes someone young, mate.

[–]DyLaNzZpRo 1 ポイント2 ポイント

EXACTLY. I'm sick of people that whine that they died on a PvP game, there ARE PvE servers, there is no point at all in playing an online survival game if you don't want to survive and have player interaction....

[–]Unseenkippie 1 ポイント2 ポイント

Just make your own server with rules on it.

Fixed.

"Yes, you will be shot at. Yes, you will be looted. Yes, it will be hard. That is why this game is enjoyable"

  • Absolutely agree

"There is nothing broken"

  • (For the most part) Agree

"there sure as hell is no reason to 'Fix' banditry"

  • (Somewhat) Disagree

And not that I think we should fix banditry, I love banditry and all of the adrenalin that their crafty treacherous ways inject into the gameplay. However there should be a 'fix' for incentives-for-cooperative-play. As of now PVP servers feel a lot like MW or BF3 and less like survival horror(both games I own, play, and enjoy) but if I wanted to play those games I would sink into my couch, turn on my PS3, and zone out for a few hours.

So what am I looking for? I guess I'm hoping for a tribal warfare game in a post apocalyptic setting where people band together, try to cut out a slice of order in a chaotic world, and raid rival bases, murder everyone inside, but together, like a big post apocalyptic blood crazed family.

I mean wouldn't it be awesome if a group of people spent hours even days building the perfect fortress, creating life long friendships out of their mutual desire to survive and succeed and then to have some gang drive up to their home kill everyone inside and steal all their stuff? Wouldn't that be a beautiful and hilariously frutrating moment that everyone can enjoy?

tl;dr: With some tweaking, PVP could be equal parts heroes and bandits and still both difficult and fun but more beautiful.

Now I wish for those KOS'ers to be more careful with their kills, like give them an inherent debuff, always-reddened screen.

It's very difficult for kids suffering from Autism to fully understand why there's other human beings out there who find joy in killing.
