what a bunch of pretentious cunts.
The hipsters on the East side of town have been more pretentious than the people in Buckhead for some time now.
No small feat.
This blast points are too accurate for hipster, this is the work of train kids. They hide there numbers by jumping on trains with their dogs and looking the exact same. They smell horrible and have a chip on their shoulder because they did not get a good percentage of their parents trust fund.
Hipsters>yuppies>liberals in buck head.
This is the work of train kids.
Train kids have the money to print well designed printed materials? Pretty sure if it was them it'd be cardboard and crayon.
If my time in Brooklyn taught me anything, only a hipster would go to this length for irony/snarky.
Don't be fooled, a lot of those gutter-punks are trust fund kids looking for an 'Into the Wild' type experience.
Ahhh, yes, I forgot about that. Long Island kids did that shit, too.
You mean you've never seen a train kid quickly hide his iPhone or iPad before asking or your leftovers or money? They are notorious for coming from mama and daddy money and rebelling against it.
I did forget about that. I remember that shit in NYC, too.
Anytime I see a train kid I think about the "smokers" in the movie "Waterworld". I've started referring to them just as ... waterworld.
I mean, have you never found a sticker before? I'm always super motivated to use it when I do. That's probably their motive.
Especially with them crawling through dumpsters, they're bound to find some good stuff.
Are they like ATL gutter punks?
Train kids are everywhere but yeah gutter punk I think is synonymous.
Or rather they are gutter punks who read jack Kerouac too many times.
I've always referred to them as Crusty Punks. But yeah, tomato / tomahto
They are bad, I agree...but worse than buckhead? Ha.
I'm not sure when, but this sub was taken over by buckhead betties and the likes a while ago.
Sad really.
Exactly. It's so tragic that a place exists where people, from all parts of Atlanta, can communicate. Why can't it just be the folks beefsupreme likes?!
There, there. It'll be okay big guy.
No need to troll r/atlanta for posts you disagree with and downvote them. Its attitudes like this that makes most ATLiens cringe away from you buckhead types.
I don't think you understand the difference between a troll and sarcasm.
I don't live in Buckhead. Nice try.
Your superiority complex is showing and it's pretty douchey.
There are too many logical fallacies here to attempt a reply.
Good day sir.

It's almost like people from the same city can be different. If I wanted to read pretentious hipster shit all day I'd still subscribe to /r/fixedgearbicycle. This is Atlanta, not everyone is just like you.
Hahahhahaa. Good one.
that's not the worst part, the car has cancer...

Welcome to Atlanta. The worst of the South and the East in one inconvenient package.

Where do you hail from that so god damn wonderful? Judging by your comment history, you're a pretentious cunt and know-it-all who has his head so far up his ass, that lump in your throat is your god damn nose.
Do you feel better now?
What's so important to you about ATL that you can barely handle anyone having something other than glowing praise for it?
Because unlike a large part of the population I have lived in Atlanta all my life, except for my undergrad, and this is home and always will be. So when someone like yourself comes along and talks shit about this city with no justification or provocation, it makes you looks like a twat. I don't expect everyone to love this city and have nothing but "glowing praise" for it, but in your case, you are just being a dick for the sake of being a dick. So I ask you again, where do you come from? I am not asking so I can just turn around and blast whatever city it may be, I can just tell that you're not from here and am curious.
I'm not from Atlanta because I don't love it?
Exactly.
Are you?
EDIT: Furthermore, what are your grievances with Atlanta? You inferred that your opinion of the city is shit, so why is that?
All other grievances aside? It's exactly as shown in the OP: your city has a rampant infestation of classist assholes who would rather deride someone for a perceived brand preference than attempt to love and know the other.
It's not unique to Atlanta, but the sheer pervasiveness of the attitude is very off putting if you've not grown up immersed in it. As I said, East Coast levels of pre-judgement, combined with Deep South levels of intolerance makes for disgusting attitudes and habits.
Moreover, the only time Atlantans close ranks is when you point out how much they congratulate one another on being unrepentantly pissy about people different from them. This is ESPECIALLY true about people who are 'from' here, I've noticed.
Wow, you really are something special. You still haven't answered my question by the way and seem to be avoiding it. And if by, "people different from them", you mean arrogant jackasses, then yes, I am prejudice towards "those" types of people.
[–]ronintetsuro [score hidden] 1 時間 前
If your intent isn't to immediately judge where I'm from, then why does it matter?
For your information, I've moved 15 times in the past decade, and I've lived in every major geographical area in the US. I wouldn't say I've done a peer reviewed study on the social habits of America, but I'm hardly commenting from a place of ignorance either.
[–]droidcoreATL/ATX/SEA 0 ポイント1 ポイント2 ポイント 1 時間 前
I....don't want to agree with you (for the downvotes)...but I've made a lot of the same observations. Also, I remember when I first moved here: the second someone would leave the group, the group would start talking shit about said person—or talk shit about whoever wasn't there. I've never met more people that just like to bitch and talk shit/be two-faced than...Southerners. Coming from Austin, "Southern Hospitality" turned into a real big joke, fast. Oh well, this city is easy money and has an airport that can get me anywhere in the world I want to be.
I loved the time I spent in Texas. Coming here was a huge culture shock, bigger than anywhere else I've lived.
