    I understand the historical reference, but I tried to do the math to bring his bad joke full circle. I don't think is physically possible to have the genes work out to exactly 3 parts American and exactly 2 parts African (assuming you consider them both to both be descendents of pure race parents)

    The majority americans, black or white, want to work and earn a good living. Don't buy into the whole black people are lazy thing that gets pushed on this subreddit. It absolutely feeds into the stigma that conservatives are racist when it is common on this sub to call all black people lazy.

    This is true, i have had friends where both family members were working and they still needed welfare to help them get by. And these people were not living past their means, they were hard working people. It is just the people who feed off the system and do nothing to try and work that make the system messed up.

    I definitely agree, there should be maybe diminishing returns on welfare (so the first month or two you get the most, then it stars slowly being lowered as time goes on unless you're disabled etc.).

    Of course disability fraud is a whole different topic.

    Not wrong. But if we both believe that there's a point at which we simply can't "invent" more money to spend on yet another entitlement class, then we're in violent agreement with them.

    The fact is we're over-stretched. In debt. And unless the economy takes off real big, real quick, we're in trouble. And what resources we have, and generally agree should be used as a safety net, the argument that those funds should go to Americans, first, is a very sound argument indeed.

    Bolsheviks means majority in Russian. They weren't the majority until they call themselves the majority. The democrats have called themselves the party that cares about afro-americans for 40 years. The facts have nothing to do with reality.     Illegals (children, even though most look like teenagers) are being dumped by busloads into the U.S., and Obama wants 3.7 billion to take care of them. They are also getting bussed to cities all over the U.S. and border control can't do a damn thing about it. It's basically an invasion going on.

    Roughly 40000 un-accompanied honduran, guatemalen, and el salvadoran children have illegally tried to immigrate to the US based on the false (or maybe not so false) pretext that they will be allowed to stay. Some 12000 mexican kids have tried the same but have been bused back. The law signed by bush in 2008 makes it a little more difficult because the kids have to be processed in order to limit human trafficking if they're not from mexico. Some democrats are saying they should be allowed to stay as refugees because the situations in their countries are so bad (highest murder and violence rates in the world). Meanwhile republicans are calling for deportations quicker and not spending so much money on processing them to send them back. Obama has been criticized for not going to the border to see the problem. He's criticizing the republicans for not bringing a bill to solve the problem.

    In the end, nobody is doing anything but blaming the other guy, which makes for good cable news ratings.

    Sounds like a shitty situation for everyone. It's too bad too because American policies (like the war on drugs) only perpetuate violence south of the border. We really need to start addressing the systemic issues then we wouldn't have to deal with as many of these types of issues.
