When we hit 100,000 a week or so ago we were discussing updating the sidebar. Like most of things we talk about, we got distracted by drugs and alcohol and forgot to actually do the thing we were going to do.... In a moment of sobriety, I have gotten around to doing some real work. Here is the announcement text that was planned...

My loyal shitlords subjects,
Some of you may have noticed that we've reworked our subreddit's rules. While there is no practical change to what is and isn't allowed, we felt that rephrasing them would help people's understanding of what this sub is for.
The new rules list is as follows:
1) DO NOT CONTACT ANYBODY FEATURED ON TiA. This means sending messages of any sort, and this especially means harassing them. Make fun of their logic in the comments only. This is our most important rule. Break it, and you're banned for good.
We have zero tolerance for people breaking this rule. This also includes trying to contact their family, employer, pets or whatever. Don't do it.
2) PERSONAL INFORMATION IS NOT ALLOWED, PERIOD. This includes full names and locations of bloggers. If it's in the sidebar, or in their username, screenshot it and censor it out. We don't need it here.
This one is a sitewide rule. Censoring screenshots is effort, we know, but it has to be done.
3) DON'T BE A DICKPARADE. Don't make fun of people with genuine issues like autism or depression, but feel free to make fun of anyone who's self-diagnosed with something and is clearly bullshitting. Also, don't be a dickhead to your fellow shitlord. You know where the line is.
We're here to laugh, not hate. This rule also includes interactions with other commenters, if that wasn't clear already.
4)DO NOT POST ANYTHING OVERLY POLITICAL. TiA is not a soapbox for pushing your ideology. We're here to laugh at mental gymnastics, so don't post articles unless they directly involve social justice nonsense.
Knowing where to draw the line on 'political' posts is difficult at times. In short, TiA is about poking fun at silly ideas that Tumblrites come up with. While we allow some social justice content which doesn't come from Tumblr itself, we want this to be similar in spirit. For this reason, 'call to action'-type threads are also not allowed.
Types of non-Tumblr posts that we do want include:
- SJW campaigns for gender segregation on airplanes."
- Why white men are the source of all the planet's problems"
- A feminist review of the new Godzilla movie: It's 100% misogyny"
Types of posts that we don't want include:
- This feminist did something bad."
- "This redpiller said something horrible"
- "10 reasons that social justice is awful"
- "4chan are going to invade Tumblr"
A lot of these can be posted in other subs such as /r/sjsucks. If in doubt, ask the mods.
5) If you're linking to a blog containing NSFW material, mark it as NSFW.
Hopefully obvious.
6) Satire posts and troll blogs belong in /r/TumblrCirclejerk. General Tumblr humor goes to /r/loltumblr. Sanity posts go to /r/TumblrAtRest. Discussion and Meta posts go to /r/TiADiscussion.
PLEASE check the satire list before posting something which seems outrageous. If you're looking for a break from insanity, we suggest looking at some of these other wonderful subs in the network.
7) These sites should only have screenshots posted. No direct links to these sites.
Screenshots additionally need sufficient context. Capture the whole post, rather than a single line.
8)** DO NOT POST REDDIT COMMENT THREADS HERE, FOR THE LOVE OF SATAN.**
Seriously. No more Reddit posts. Not even once.
You are now free to return to your daily oppression duties. Thank you.
END /u/gammaking's ramblings.
So yeah, basically still the same but reworded for clarity
Rule 1 has been broken up into two separate parts which is probably the biggest change.
there doesn't seem to be anything here
