    Abortion is WRONG

I'm a relatively liberal guy when it comes to social issues. I'm a strong supporter of marriage equality, drug legalization, and, although sometimes conflicted about it, gun control. But there is one issue I stand loyally by the conservative crowd on and that is abortion. Not that it's wrong on a practical level, nor is it particularly harmful to anyone except perhaps psychologically for the would- be mother down the road. A fetus is just a less than human wad of flesh as far as I'm concerned. However, the concept of it is just downright disturbing. It makes societies that legally condone it look a lot of monsters just on general principle. Abortion clinics are basically death factories in essence and the entire industrial nature of it echos more extreme eugenics friendly policies of the first half of the 20th century. It's a slippery slope i guess. Thoughts?

If you believe a fetus is "less than human" then why are you anti-abortion?

No, the death factories would be the back alleys where women would be forced to get abortions if abortion clinics didn't exist. If anything, such clinics ensure that abortion is safe and clean. Yeah, abortion shouldn't be used as a form of contraception, but it is a necessary evil until such time that abortions aren't required anymore.

Because, sir, it's the idea of it that bothers me, not the practice of it. Shit...that doesn't make a lot of sense at first glance but i can't think of a better way to explain it.

How much do you actually know about abortion, do you think?

Yes but in my opinion those women in the allies should be jailed. Not for murder, but for...huh, well no existing legitimate charges I can think of. Animal cruelty perhaps? Or just make "Abortion" a charge in and of itself punishable by 3 years in prison or so? Yeah that sounds fair.

Basically all there is to know short of how to preform one with non lethal results for the carrier.

Even if they want an abortion because they've been raped?

That sounds like something out of The Handmaid's Tale, although they would probably hang a woman for getting an abortion in that society.

Yes even if they want an abortion for being raped. A good system would allow for the murder of the rapists themselves to be legalized and state money be given to the women who conceive their children as retribution and to raise the kid to adulthood if no suitable foster parents are available.

It's because you know in your heart there is a way things ought to be, and mothers killing their children is far from the way things ought to be. In fact, it must be avoided completely. Have you seen the pro-choice movement's abortion stories that try to make abortion "empowering" or "get rid of the stigma?" Every story is the same. It is a tragic tale of mistakes that lead to more mistakes that lead to the horrible outcome of abortion. Abortion has never done anything but harm, it kills the baby and harms the mother.

A society that kills its children is not a society that will last. And you will see, unless something is done about it, Western civilization as we know it will fall.
