It’s possible. It happens. It’s very rare, though. It’s more likely that someone would be DFAB/DMAB, think they’re a binary trans person and then realise they’re non-binary, or vice versa. It’s pretty rare for someone to ‘change their mind’ on being trans. It does happen (trans regret), but much more rarely than people expect. Don’t let it be a reason to disrespect someone’s gender, though.
