You know, it doesn’t really surprise me when a trans guy is transmisogynistic.  He will have been treated in a way he hated because of being seen as girl. That has to cause some huge resentment issues for women, and what it means to be a woman, specifically if that particular trans guy isn’t the best at coping with negative feelings/emotions/memories. 

It sort of translates into “god, people treating me like a girl was horrible, who the heck would ever WANT to be treated like that?” 

As a trans girl i sure think to myself “who the heck would want to be a treated like a guy, that was a horrible experience.” but my personal feelings about men have no power behind them; no oppression can actually come from me.

But a trans guy is learning to be the oppressor. And like any being who is learning hunting tactics, you start with the weaker prey before you go for the big game. (here the correlation is that it’s easier to oppress an already very oppressed group, maybe the only group directly below trans men, aka trans women.)

Trans men are going into a role of more power, trans women are leaving that role. How often do you hear about people abusing new found power? It’s a trope for a reason.

Yes i’m aware that not ALL trans men are transmisogynistic. If you’re a trans guy and this doesn’t apply to you, move along and ignore it, you don’t need to tell me “not all trans guys.” I get it.
