[–]The_Bystander_Effect 36 ポイント37 ポイント

I'm here to dispel common misconception that all of Canada get's milk by the bag. As far as I'm aware it's just an Ontario thing. West of Thunder Bay I've never seen milk in a bag.

*Almost every province has chimed in to correct me. I'm surprised to hear Sask and BC say they have it there, but eastern Canada is less surprising.

* I don't know who to believe anymore- contradictions coming from everywhere although It's definitely more common in the east it seems.

[–]chatan00ga [score hidden]

Quebec has them too. Can confirm, am from Quebec

[–]juniorkickstart [score hidden]

We have it in BC, too. Had bag-milk as a child.

[–]shinecore [score hidden]

I am also from BC and never have had bag-milk. It must be a southern BC thing.

[–]The_Bystander_Effect [score hidden]

I lived in southern BC, never saw it there.

[–]michaelsaysno [score hidden]

From vancouver never heard of or seen milk bags.

[–]PussyDoc [score hidden]

Vancouver here definitely see a lot of milk bags. Safeway and Save-ons both have them.

[–]cokecola67 [score hidden]

Currently a child in BC. Confused, as I have been told milk in a bag is American.

[–]Malfeasant [score hidden]

American here, I have never even heard of milk in a bag until just now.

[–]spoiled_orange [score hidden]

Am American, can confirm we have bag milk in flesh colored jugs.

[–]axcobb [score hidden]

Breasts...I get it.

[–]tumello [score hidden]

Indeed.

[–]AustinTreeLover [score hidden]

I'm American. I've never heard of milk in bag until now. I googled it. But, I'm from the south.

[–]JDFive [score hidden]

Too bad.

When there is little milk left, I pull the bag out of bagholder, purse my lips around the opening of the bag, AND SUCK ON IT LIKE A TITTY!

It's the best way to drink milk.

[–]The_Bystander_Effect [score hidden]

I think Wisconsin/Minnesota has them? I've heard that.

[–]terrotifying [score hidden]

Yeah but those states are just South Canada.

[–]Fugitivebush [score hidden]

Wisconsinite here.

I was unaware of this annexation. I never got my gallon of maple syrup and Sorry board game in the mail.

[–]b3gintw1ntig [score hidden]

Wisconsinite here, never seen milk in a bag

[–]ItsLunchboxBitch [score hidden]

I'm from Texas, we get that shit in a jar.

[–]psymunn [score hidden]

Well it hasn't been readily available since '94, which is when I moved to BC

[–]stevealive 15 ポイント16 ポイント

Nova Scotian here, can get milk in carton, bag, or plastic jug.

[–]myfriendflicka [score hidden]

You're a couple teats short of a full house.

[–]SEND_ME_BITCOINS_PLS [score hidden]

Same in Quebec. Bag is probably the most popular, then carton, then jug.

[–]WhatTheFlyinFudge [score hidden]

Even at the tip of Cape Breton you can...

[–]RCB1997 [score hidden]

Cape Bretoner you say?!?!?! Hows she goin' bie!?

[–]WhatTheFlyinFudge [score hidden]

Ay, Bie!!! Nah, I'm American, but my parents and older siblings are. Dad was from Cheticamp.

Still Acadien as fuck, though.

[–]tbul [score hidden]

Just the tip?

[–]Mike9797 [score hidden]

Really? it's not? I know I live in Toronto but this is not an everywhere thing? how does 4 litres of milk come where you live?

Also I know Beckers and Macs have a 4L jug so is that the only way to buy it?

[–]The_Bystander_Effect [score hidden]

4L come in jugs, that's the only way I've seen it in MB.

[–]NotSoKosher 9 ポイント10 ポイント

Obviously you've never been to jail in the United States before. Bags of milk are like currency.

[–]bluesmurf 9 ポイント10 ポイント

I thought ass was currency

[–]NotSoKosher 9 ポイント10 ポイント

That's prison. Jail is completely different.

[–]hitman6actual [score hidden]

What sort of twisted currency exchange happens between jail and prison?

[–]questing007 [score hidden]

Bagged milk is as Canadian as apple pie is American.

[–]Mercades [score hidden]

Minnesota gets milk by the bag. Well, my part of MN

[–]hulxter [score hidden]

You must live in northern MN because I've certainly never seen it anywhere in MSP or southern MN.

[–]Tonmber1 [score hidden]

Israeli here, we have CHOCOLATE milk in a bag!

[–]Chuck1983 2 ポイント3 ポイント

Umm Atlantic Canada and Quebec also have Bagged milk. I got it in BC and Saskatchewan as well

[–]anacondatmz [score hidden]

Montrealer here, I get my milk in bags or cartons.

[–]Urbanviking1 [score hidden]

No that's Wisconsin.

[–]cute4awowchick [score hidden]

Crap. Now I want some ketchup chips!

[–]joecarter93 [score hidden]

In Alberta, I remember my parents buying milk and fruit punch in a bag in the 1980's, but haven't seen it since.

[–]amorningofsleep[S] 35 ポイント36 ポイント

Didn't have one at my apartment. Trust me. It was brainstormed.

[–]Slicker1138 133 ポイント134 ポイント

You're a Canadian...without a hockey stick? Then no. No you're NOT doing it right.

[–]canadian_eh182 18 ポイント19 ポイント

You can borrow one of my 2 dozen sticks and 1 of my 100 bottles of syrup. Also should be wearing a hockey Canada jersey.

[–]PotsAndOwls [score hidden]

And you call yourself Canadian? Maple syrup comes in cans, buddy.

[–]ChrisAshtear [score hidden]

no those jerseys are awful. He should be wearing a Leafs jersey.

[–]TheBlueEagle [score hidden]

Haha awww I'm sorry ;)
Just kidding, <3

[–]SamIamGreenEggsNoHam [score hidden]

Only if he wants to be the wrong Canadian.

[–]ContraWizard [score hidden]

God the leafs suck so much though, being in a part of ontario that's not Toronto for me it's Red Wings then the habs, then every other team, teams from other leagues and sports, followed by Stephen Harper, then the leafs.

[–]kenba2099 [score hidden]

Quick, rob his house, he's unarmed!

[–]IRateBoobies [score hidden]

"You're Canadian...without a hockey stick?" No you're not Canadian.

[–]BeautifulBard [score hidden]

Now say you're sorry.

[–]askinnydude [score hidden]

I think we just saw someone lose their citizenship.

[–]Pielille [score hidden]

Sing O Canada ten times and pray to Gretzky for forgiveness, you have shames us all.

[–]giveer [score hidden]

And when you sing it, make sure not to get the line that everyone gets wrong, wrong.

[–]Retlaw83 [score hidden]

If you don't have a hockey stick, how do you eat peanut butter?

[–]xittix 1 ポイント2 ポイント

At least tell us you own a pair of skates!!!!!!

[–]Hubris2 [score hidden]

Perhaps should be holding a biography of Red Green?

[–]NitsujTPU [score hidden]

Just pointing it out.. guns are legal in Canada, you just can't get a license to carry in the same way you can in the US.

But, yeah, a hockey stick and syrup would be far funnier. Maybe you should be wearing a Canucks jersey.

[–]ournamesdontmeanshit [score hidden]

Here in Ontario you actually can get an ATC, "authority to carry" if you're a prospector, a trapper, or a bear baiter. There are lots of hoops to jump through and I believe you have to be retested every year.

I don't mean to be that guy, but did you purposefully choose R.L. Stein over J.K. Rowling from the image?

[–]Cryovenom [score hidden]

If you're not looking closely it kind of looks like he's holding Goosebumps books.

[–]Batmaners [score hidden]

Can confirm, didn't look closely.

[–]bangedmyexesmom [score hidden]

He prolly thought it was Goosebumps.

[–]sierrabravo1984 [score hidden]

I've got the goddamned box set and I'm American. Everyone needs it.

[–]whiely [score hidden]

[–]RugbyAndBeer [score hidden]

Then why did Jesus write it in America?

[–]Craysh [score hidden]

Let me introduce you to the Book of Mormon!

[–]naughtymandrake [score hidden]

Or at least the Canadian edition of Harry Potter.

[–]Crumpgazing [score hidden]

Ahaha, glad to see someone else noticed. Those are the US covers!

[–]HeStoleMyBalloons [score hidden]

The bible is Middle Eastern

[–]OnyxMelon [score hidden]

It was assembled by the Catholic Church in Italy The Italy bit needs citation, but most of the books are middle eastern in origin, with some of the later ones being Greek or Roman.

[–]Alaskan_Thunder [score hidden]

The king James version was obviously an English translation, if that is significantly different enough to be it's own thing.

[–]feyrath [score hidden]

Margaret Atwood. Dennis Lee. Farley Mowat. Mordecai Richler. Robert J Sawyer. Don Bassingthwaite. How many Canadian authors do I need to list?

[–]Snatch_Pastry [score hidden]

He could have just gone with a Rush CD.

[–]runsoutofspace [score hidden]

I remember when WGN used to play reruns of Corner Gas after Becker. That was a funny show.

[–]oldscotch [score hidden]

Hockey stick, maple syrup and a team Canada jersey or nhl Canadian team jersey.

[–]mastrann [score hidden]

[–]GustoGaiden [score hidden]

That was actually an error in translating the title of the Harry Potter book.

[–]Lndcrsn [score hidden]

outstanding. :)

[–]Schoffleine [score hidden]

Is Jesus a virgin though? I know his mom is in the myth but I don't think it ever said Jesus was. Dude can turn water into wine. No way he's a virgin.

[–]tachymetre [score hidden]

[–]avec_aspartame [score hidden]

FYI, the woman on top made liberals cry, the woman in the middle blew up innocent men and women with grenades, the man on bottom is just a goofball.

[–]RedditReddiRedd [score hidden]

Who is the woman on top? At first I thought she was a liberal trying to claim that America was somehow the same thing as Islamic terrorists by posing with a gun and a bible.

[–]Schoffleine [score hidden]

I doubt it's to claim they're the same, but rather to juxtapose the two. While some would find the top picture patriotic, they'd find the middle one to be a symbol of terrorism. That whole 'one man's terrorist is another's freedom fighter' thing.
