Please stop harassing the /r/CivilizationCraft people, I got the author to edit his article, and a CivilizationCraft Developer also wishes to end this confusion. (self.Civcraft)

I know this community loves drama, heck I've made mistakes and have been the center of it, but I talked with the author over twitter DMs and he will edit the article to properly reflect the difference between our server and the mod. Cool your jets venk.

Unless this person is lying, it appears they truely wish to end this confusion.

Also the downvote brigade on that subreddit may aggravate them even more, please stop.

I think that's flirting with IP more directly than the current name. Civilization at least is a common noun but "sid" pretty clearly refers to a living person and a particular Firaxis trademark.

Even CivilCraft would be fine, at least there's no need to further abbreviate it.

The problem is that most of the damage has already been done. Misleading advertising has confused many people and many Youtubers call the other mod Civcraft instead of a clear name, which causes even more confusion.

That's all well and good, but if actions speak louder than words then they still have some work to do. Their site obviously makes no reference to "CivilizationCraft", and the address is "civcraft.net", surely it would be rather easy for them to sort this out? Furthermore, their wiki has exactly the same issues. They should really sort this shit out before claiming to have fully switched to "CivilizationCraft".
