Oculus Connect is a developer conference that brings together engineers, designers, and creatives from around the world to share and collaborate in the interest of creating the best virtual reality experiences possible.

Attendees will be the first to learn about upcoming Oculus technology, with sessions and workshops led by Oculus engineers and industry pioneers. Developers at the event will also have opportunities to receive design and engineering feedback directly from the Oculus team in hands-on labs.

What is Oculus Connect?

When is Oculus Connect?

Oculus Connect is Friday, September 19th and Saturday, September 20th. Event hours are 5pm-8pm on Friday and 8am to midnight Saturday. Event schedule forth-coming.

Where is Oculus Connect?

Oculus Connect will take place at the Loews Hollywood Hotel 1755 N Highland Ave, Hollywood, CA 90028. A special event hotel room rate is available to attendees and reservations are to be made no later than Monday, August 25th by calling 1-855-563-9749 or online.

Who should attend?

Anyone with an interest in developing great virtual reality content: VR developers, gaming, entertainment and cinematic content makers, innovators, creative thinkers, enthusiasts and more.

How do I register?

Applications for Oculus Connect will open July 10th, 2014. You will be able to apply via the Oculus Connect website. If you sign up for the Oculus Connect newsletter, you will receive a notification when registration has opened.

Are accommodation included?

Accommodations are not included in the cost conference attendance. A special event hotel room rate of $199 per night, plus taxes is available at the Loews Hollywood Hotel. Reservations should be made no later than Monday, August 25th by calling 1-855-563-9749 or online via the custom booking website.

Do I have to stay at the Loews?

No, you do not have to stay at the Loews Hollywood but we do recommend you stay at or close to the venue so you can most effectively participate in both the morning and evening sessions with convenience. A special event hotel room rate has been made available to attendees at the Loews Hollywood Hotel.

Can I demo my content for others?

We are always eager to see content being created in VR. Oculus Connect will have a designated area where attendees can showcase their own content ad hoc at demo stations set up specifically for that purpose.

Should I bring my own dev kit?

If you plan to demonstrate your content to other attendees during the conference, either at our walk up demo area or on your own machine, we recommend you bring your own dev kit and PC, as access to Oculus offered demo stations will be limited.

How do I get to Oculus Connect driving From LAX?
  • Head east on Century Boulevard to the 405 North entrance.
  • Take the 405 North to the 10 East. Exit on La Brea heading north.
  • Take La Brea up to Hollywood Boulevard.
  • Make a right on Hollywood Boulevard.
  • Make a left on Highland; the entrance will be on your left.
How do I get to Oculus Connect from the North?
  • Take the 101 Freeway South
  • Exit on Highland South (a one way street)
  • Continue for less than a mile and turn right onto Johnny Grant Way to enter the Hollywood & Highland Complex
  • Take a quick right for the Loews Hotel Entrance
How do I get to Oculus Connect from the South?
  • Head North on I-5 to I-405 or Head North and West to I-110 North
  • Connect to I-110 North through Downtown
  • Take the exit for 101 North to Hollywood
  • Exit Cahuenga towards the Hollywood Bowl
  • Sharp left onto N Cahuenga Blvd
  • Turn right onto Franklin Ave
  • Turn left onto N Highland Ave
  • Turn right onto Johnny Grant Way to enter the Hollywood & Highland Complex

How do I get to Oculus Connect by train?

The nearest MetroLink Rail Line access is the RED line, at Hollywood & Highland Station. Amtrak rail service to Los Angeles terminates downtown at Union station.
