When an article does not directly cite original sources, there is a reason.

This article cites blog posts about climate data rather than a direct citation of the climate data from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. This is a suspicious practice, as it indicates either laziness (he couldn't be bothered to look up the data himself) or deceit (he didn't want you to see what the original data said).
