Abraham was not a Christian.

[–]Paladin327 2 ポイント3 ポイント

As if that makes the point any less valid

[–]onemoremillionaireHappy ex-christian 1 ポイント2 ポイント

Yes. Years before there was such a thing as a christian. Cool.

It didn't say he was. Christians, as a Jewish sect, arrogated the figures of Judaism. Here is a scene from Judeo/Christian mythology depicting what their god/father has in the past, may in the future, asked them to do.

It didn't say he was.

but

"That awkward moment when your Christian dad..."

with

Picture of Abraham and the binding of Isaac.

That awkward moment when your Christian dad...

... thinks that there's a good lesson to be learned there? He never referenced Abraham specifically.

Picture of Abraham and the binding of Isaac.

Image not %100 relevant? Say it ain't so!

[–]Sameoo 1 ポイント2 ポイント

Damn the way people trying to argue these day. "picture of a cat"not referring to cats. You are looking like a dumb ass right now.

[–]Crensch 0 ポイント1 ポイント

Damn, the way people are trying to argue these day(s). "You meant what I say you meant".

You're both idiots.

[–]Jwhitx 1 ポイント2 ポイント

... thinks that there's a good lesson to be learned there? He never referenced Abraham specifically.

They used a picture with Abraham on it...

Image not %100 relevant? Say it ain't so!

...when they could have use literally any other picture with a christian dad and child, or not even used the christian label at all. Instead, someone made a comment about it, and they realized it was time to double down and not just say oops. This is such a tiny stupid issue anyways, I don't even know why we're here.

So?

It didn't say he was.

Quite literally didn't say he was.

I don't even know why we're here.

because you're this person:

someone made a comment about it, and they realized it was time to double down and not just say oops.

This meme talks about christian dads killing their children. The picture is of someone who predated christianity by hundreds of years, didn't even know christ, and thought the way to salvation was through a covenant with the fucked up voice telling him to kill his family member. Why in the fuck not just use an actual Christian dad and their offspring? Why use a pre-Christian father sacrificing their son, and then say "lelelel this guy is also killing his son". Yeah, so?

Don't want to answer to "Abraham wasn't a Christian"? Don't imply the connection.

And if you do for whatever stupid reason decide to say one thing but show another, at least don't try to weasel out of it when someone chimes in with a more or less factual statement. Just fucking mea culpa and get on with it. No need to be elaborate in defense just because you dont want to appear lacking.

So let's just stop catfighting like retards.

The only connection implied was that christians take that story as a 'good moral story'. The fact that you can't disassociate the connections in your mind with those that were actually made is not OP's fault.

And if you do for whatever stupid reason decide to say one thing but show another, at least don't try to weasel[1] out of it when someone chimes in with a more or less factual statement.

Congratulations on trying to blame the guy that didn't say Abraham was a Christian for being the weasel here, and not the guy that chooses to focus on something that nobody else seemed to think the OP was trying to communicate.

  • post about christian dad who would kill son
  • use well-known story of abraham
  • get accused of calling abraham a christian

You're a moron.

Just fucking mea culpa and get on with it. No need to be elaborate in defense just because you dont want to appear lacking.

You're the one lacking here. You're the only one, and you refuse to back down.

How is that what's implied? This oughta be good.

Post (or blatantly repost, since its fucking karmadecayd lol) a meme that refers to christian dads killing their children, picture not a christian dad, people pointing it out are the idiots. Go figure.

  • post about christian dad who would kill son
  • use well-known story of abraham
  • get accused of calling abraham a christian
  • (Re)post picture of bananas.
  • "Grapes taste awesome!"
  • "OP, those aren't grapes."
  • "Yeah, well, you aren't reading into what I ACTUALLY mean. They're both fruit and taste great. That's what I mean."
  • "Then use a picture of grapes? Or just start off with the right terms in the first place?"
  • "You're a moron."

Right.

You're the one lacking here. You're the only one, and you refuse to back down.

I'm not the one who first said "Abraham was not a Christian." I just agreed with it. What a dumb thing to mess up on. Unless there's a hidden meaning I'm not picking up on? And back down from what? Agreeing to the fact that Abraham could not have been a Christian? I can back down any time. It's a claim that doesn't need my participation in order to be right.

[–]Crensch -2 ポイント-1 ポイント

"Abraham was not a Christian."

Everyone but the ostensibly-targeted audience knows this. Who are you trying to call out here, anyway?

And the guy literally did not say abraham was a christian.
