Exactly. I don’t think straight people get this, but what you’re conditioned into is heterosexuality, not homosexuality. Liking heels and make up makes sense for a woman because we’ve been conditioned our WHOLE LIVES to be into heels and make up. Nobody is conditioned into being homosexual; however, people ARE conditioned into being HETEROsexuals, so what you should question is heterosexuality as innate and biologically predetermined, not homosexuality.

Straight people are the ONLY ones who argue for that, have you noticed? Why do you think that is? And no, absolutely not. Gender non-conforming lesbians suffer oppression that isn’t comparable to that of a straight, gender conforming woman! Have you ever like… been outside?! It should be obvious to you that straight people, male or female, are ALWAYS treated better than gay people, as is the case for GNC people vs GC people. I guess it might be harder to see that when you’re not the target of this discrimination, but rather are experiencing the benefits of the system that oppresses us. I wrote an answer to another ask regarding this at AAR which I’m just gonna copy/paste for you:Which is exactly why people (including me) are arguing there is no such thing as “straight privilege” for women. How can we say someone is privileged because their oppression acted to condition them into liking, erocizing, or identifying with the oppression? How can we say that the prisoner who has Stockholm Syndrome (the “straight” woman) has privilege over the prisoner who resists (a lesbian woman)? The prisoner who resists may be targeted more harshly, but they are both prisoners, and you are effectively arguing that people are privileged or not based on how they respond to their captivity and how much psychological colonization has affected them.
Straight privilege, gender conforming privilege, etc., these things exist FOR MEN and ONLY for men.
Yes, compulsory heterosexuality is definitely an oppressive force against women - one of the biggest ones, I’d say. Compulsory heterosexuality, however, affects straight women and lesbians, which means that most lesbians I know have had PIV in their lives, and has been subjected to heterosexuality just as much as straight women have. It’s not like lesbians grow up unaffacted by societies desire to make them straight. Being a lesbian is not like… “I like women so I’m free from the oppressive force of heterosexuality”; you’re forced into it just as much as straight women are, the only difference is that you’re not straight so you don’t even want to be intimate with men. Not even the majority of lesbians has been able to never sleep with a man, because of societal pressure and/or fear of violence because of your sexual orientation. Every woman is forced into heterosexuality, even lesbians, and considering lesbians don’t want to be intimate with men, I’d hardly consider it a privilege.
Anyway, I think it’s pretty disgusting that you’re essentially arguing heterosexuality results in “privilege” to some women because the conditioning and compulsory PIV and all attendant harms don’t bother them as much. It’s right there, in your last sentence.
You’re promoting a classification of women who like their oppression. And you’re arguing that because they like it, they are rewarded and ergo get “privilege.”
