Meh, when there are very few outlets on this site that allow you to take jabs at leftists without fear of massive downvoting, verbal harassment, and even stalking, these types of comments/posts tend to be more common.

/r/conservative becomes a place for conservatives to vent with like minded people, because you'll likely be censored with downvotes anywhere else before anyone who shares your political views even has the chance to see it.

I think many people on this sub share your frustration with many other subs where conservative bashing is so prevalent its hard to get a word in and you feel your voice and opinions cant make it through.

What frustrates me about this sub is it provides an opportunity to share all your opinions without "fear of downvoting." Instead, most just use it to do the same thing you complain about in other subs because thats what gets the upvotes. I guess this is reflective of a broader problem with reddit and maybe society in general; its a race to the bottom to appeal to the most basic emotions with no thought or insight. Everyone hates it, but they all keep voting for it.

This sub isn't primarily a place for debate, though. This isn't /r/askaconservative. It's intent is not to convince you to be a conservative. Sure, debate occurs here, but a sub that generally consists of like-minded people means that most people here already largely agree with you.

I'm happy to voice my opinion and debate others in a civil and respectful manner here, but like I said, we also need a place to vent. If you don't like seeing this type of content, then obviously this sub is not right for you.
