The fact that “the world doesn’t have trigger warnings” is MORE of a reason to use them where we can, not less. People who are triggered by things that are fairly common in daily life deserve at least one space where they can be (mostly) protected from seeing whatever their trigger is.

ok good, necessary post but empathy =/= being a good person and it is ableist to say it is, some people are disabled and lack empathy, etc etc
