The anti-Islam jerk on reddit is probably one of the worst, mainly because it involves the obnoxious atheists, and the European xenophobes/racists. Both of those groups make up huge portions of reddit, so whenever Islam is discussed, expect to see a one-sided jerkfest full of dehumanization and unfair generalizations.

Don't get me wrong, I live in London and have Muslim friends but the "all Muslims are good and perfect" is also kind of shitty. Can't say anything wrong about them because a crowd of people will gather with pitchforks.

And the fact that you mark anyone who says bad things about Muslims as xenophobic or racist clearly shows that you're one of those people and don't have any idea about what you're talking about. You're the kind of a guy who will see a black person to something wrong and run off to blame it on slavery and apologise for it.

Um, I did call the reddit atheists obnoxious, right? That includes when they go on senseless tirades against Christianity. So I don't know where you got that idea from.

Yeah, because I totally said that every Muslim ever is good and perfect. As is clearly evident from my post, I eulogized Osama bin Laden and the other members of Al-Qaeda as perfectly moral human beings who did nothing wrong. /s

There's a difference between recognizing and trying to change some of the unfortunate aspects of Islamic culture (such as the unequal treatment of women), and using that to disparage Muslims as a whole. All that shows is that you see Muslims as a hivemind group of evil fundamentalists rather than as individuals, most of whom are sensible, moderate people. That is xenophobic and racist.

You're the kind of a guy who will see a black person to something wrong and run off to blame it on slavery and apologise for it.

No, I'm the kind of guy who will see a black person do something wrong, and instead of simply brushing him off as a "thug" influenced by "shitty black culture", will recognize why many blacks are faced with poverty and often turn to lives of crime and violence as a result, and attempt to take measures to prevent black crime by attempting to educate them and give them equal opportunities to make a living honestly. In other words, I'm the kind of person who wants to actually achieve results and curb black crime through sensible action instead of blaming it on an entire minority group to make me feel better about myself. Stop strawmanning.

Where did I say that I want to insult any religion or culture?

All I said was that according to you commenting on any wrong doings by the Islam culture is racist. And it can be clearly seen from your post as you started to pick apart what I said, putting it out of context and just calling me racist even though I didn't say anything bad about anyone.

And that's exactly what I hate about people like you - you omit all discussion along instantly jump to pulling the racist card. You're an asshole and you are the problem.

You don't have anything worthwhile to say so I'm a racist. You even take the fact that I said that I do have Muslim friends and turn it against me and call me a xenophobe AGAIN.. Even though I only said it to point out that I do have some contact and knowledge about those people.

I never called you a racist, I was just poking fun at the fact that "I have muslim friends" is very similar to what a lot of racists here in the States say when talking about black people - "I have black friends."

But I really laid out all my arguments in the simplest of ways possible, so if you can't understand what I'm saying and have to resort to calling me an asshole and "the worst kind of a person" (TIL I'm worse than Hitler) then there's really no point in talking to you anymore.

I said that because people here were pointing out that people at /r/atheism don't have Muslim friends so to give weight to my argument but you took it and turned it around.
