I know you guys love following me around. Yesterday I commented in an interesting thread on /r/programming, shortly before it was removed by the moderators of that subreddit. Despite this thread no longer being included in any listings, I see several regulars from this subreddit commenting (and apparently voting, but who's counting?).

I'm sure your moderators will take some responsibility and do something to curtail this subreddit being used as a launching point to invade other communities and harass individual users. Any minute now.

I posted the thread, so I don't think I was invading from it. I was correcting some misinformation, but that's just civic responsibility.

Exaggeration and pity-mongering aside, intortus is right. A lot of the comments weren't very constructive and it's rude to invade threads anyway. If you really want intortus to read something you have to say about him, just post it here on SRSs.

First: Buddy, I don't vote, like, ever. Pretty much every fucking upvote I have given is from my own votes. I'm actually opposed to the concept and believe it creates echo-chambers kept whole by spirals of silence. So I commented on a thread in my fucking field that was linked that you happen to be hilariously wrong over, because you're a nitwit femingelist and a sexist piece of shit who believes women are so stupid that they can't pursue their own passions or careers without government-sponsored initiatives that show them that STEM careers are not just for Big Bang Theory awkward nerds. Feel free to bug your former colleagues for this information.

Second: the ire people levy at SRS downvoting is that they have it in their rules that they don't 'touch the poop'. Quite frankly, the only reason I'm a mod is to be in mod mail, approve automoderator-deleted comments that not ought to be, and remove clear doxing and threats.

Third: I quite frankly don't give a shit what the users of this subreddit do. We don't have a coordinated IRC channel because the people here actually work for a living and don't have time for that shit.

Fourth: Whenever you are mentioned, you come here running to defend yourself and have repeatedly shit up this subreddit with le edgy reply chains. If you didn't repeatedly do this, I'd be more inclined to do something.

Fifth: What the hell do you want us to do to these users who 'invade'? I don't have the power to see... any user activity whatsoever. Maybe you should have made this type information available to mods during your long and fruitful tenure as a reddit administrator. Maybe programmed with HTML and CSS.

Sixth: You and the admins are fucking retarded for even trying to institute some type of policing on cross-reddit posts. Like, there's a feature called 'other discussions' ffs at the top there. Maybe you should have all instituted some type of individual account activation for subreddits. Otherwise, subreddits are just gussied-up subforums. Are people just supposed to... not act if they for some reason stumble upon some post or another that they have an opinion of should they get to it within reddit itself?
