僕が公開しているプラグイン、TinyMCE Templatesが、本日現在公式ディレクトリから消えております。

原因は、ウクライナ語の翻訳ファイルがスパマーさんだった＆プラグインのreadme.txtで、そのスパマーにリンクを貼っていたということが原因のようです。

プラグインそのものに変なコードが入ってたわけでもないし、リンク先のサイトでマルウエア等に感染するみたいなこともないので、ご安心ください。

This is a mass-email being sent to all authors who recently made a change in the directory to add links to the website getvoip.com.

We have been informed that the individual(s) associated with this domain name have been sending out mass “spam” in an effort to get his links included in many plugin pages on the WordPress.org directory. To accomplish this, he may have provided translations of your plugin into Ukranian. The few translation files we have examined appeared to be automated translations, perhaps from Google Translate or a similar service.

Regardless of the source of the translations, we do not look kindly upon persons mass emailing our plugin authors, nor upon linkback schemes such as these to get links into our plugins directory.

Therefore, we are informing you that these links are not allowed on WordPress.org and must be removed. If you have any link to getvoip.com in either your plugin code, or in the readme.txt file, that link must be removed or the plugin will not be continue to be listed on WordPress.org.

In fact, if you have *any* such credit links for translation files, we would ask that those be removed as well. Any emails you receive which ask for a link on WordPress.org, or in a plugin’s code, in exchange for any form assistance with the plugin will be treated as “spam”, and plugins that fall into this trap will be de-listed from the WordPress.org directory.

We apologize for the inconvenience, and in the future, we would remind everybody that the plugins directory is a free directory, intended for code to help the users of WordPress. It is not a suitable place for linkback schemes or for other “SEO” type operations. Links from a WordPress.org plugin page (and therefore a readme.txt page) must be relevant to the plugin or it’s authors, and not treated as any form of “compensation” for providing translations or other assistance with a plugin’s development.

In the near future, the WordPress software plans on adding new ways of providing language packs to users and easing the burden on plugin authors in this regard. When that happens, this sort of thing will hopefully reduce in number.

We appreciate your contribution to the WordPress.org directory, and we hope that you can get these links removed from your plugins as soon as possible. Thank you.

僕はプラグインの翻訳を性善説的な考え方に基づいて受け入れていて、まあたまに明らかにリンクをあてにしてるっぽい人もいるんですが、そういうのもウェルカムだと思ってたんですけど、Google翻訳そのまんまなやつはやだなーということで、このウクライナ語の翻訳ファイルは削除しました。

以前にも中国語の翻訳に政治的なメッセージを入れられたことがあって（これの犯人はたぶん日本人）、その時は中国語のユーザーが指摘してくれたんですが、こういうのが増えるといろいろとめんどくさいですね。

世間を騒がせているなんちゃら細胞の論文の件もそうなんですが、そこを疑わなきゃいけなくなったらそりゃ大変だよみたいなことも世の中にはあってですね、こういうのはほんとうに迷惑です。

そんなわけで、プラグインの方は数日中に復活すると思います。
