18 Year Old Argues For Lowering Age of Consent Laws
Its only the federal age of consent that's 18. Most state age of
consents are around 16, with some places in the deep south going down to
14, and then there's Mississippi, which has no minimum age for marriage
with parental consent (and thus sex since married peoples may copulate
regardless)

The 18 thing only comes into play in interstate
scenarios. I.e. when sending nudes. If the communication is routed out
of state, even if the recipient is in the same state, its interstate,
and thus in federal jurisdiction.
Additionally, two 16 year old who
are legal residents of different states cannot sex, even if both their
home states are 16 aoc because their interaction is interstate.

The argument she stated was basically that "hurdur you start your period you start fucking".
