5) No "disgusting", "creepy", or NSFL (Not Safe For Life) submissions.	This includes anything containing physical injury/self harm/the deceased. Posting NSFL content is a bannable offense.
6) Images of mentally ill or disabled people are not permitted and you will be banned.	This is common human decency.
7) No bullying, witch-hunting, or internet vigilantism.	Submissions with the intent of bullying someone or inciting a witch-hunt will be removed and the user will be banned.
8) When submitting content, use a descriptive title and attempt to be original with your title.	Vague submissions or titles that include the word "cringe" are subject to removal.
9) Submissions attempting to promote a specific agenda of yours will be removed.	We are not your personal army/soapbox.
10) Images must be directly linked and hosted on a reliable host.	URL needs to end in .jpg, .png, .gif, etc.
11) No mobile links.	Delete the "m." or "mobile." from the beginning of the URL before you submit.
12) Keep reposts to a minimum.	For everyone's sake, just try.

I see no problem with it. If you use it in a joking manner, why not? I mean, I already hear the majority of black people I know using it as part of their regular vocabulary, completely seriously. Just don't use it to make fun of black people.

How is this different from Dave Chappelle or Eddie Murphy putting makeup on to look like white people and doing sketches? Other than the fact that Chappelle and Murphy were funny when they did this. I don't see why people freak out about blackface when black comedians regularly don whiteface.

well, for one there's the long history of black face being used to disparage and insult black people. Google minstrel shows if you've never heard of them.

There's also the fact that there's still a huge amount of racism directed at black people today, both institutional and on a personal level, while institutional racism against whites is non-existent. When a white person does black face, especially is the U.S. it brings up a very racist history. when someone like Dave Chappelle does it, it seriously doesn't matter. White people aren't actively discriminated against on a daily basis, there's no history of people using white face to degrade white people, and white people, as a whole, are in a position of power anyway, it's just not the same thing.

It doesn't matter what was done in the past. This is the present. Just because something was used years ago doesn't mean it's just A-OK for black people to do it now. That's backwards thinking.

Fred Armisen did Obama. Nobody's arguing that an impression it the context of comedy isn't funny. But considering there's a history of white performers doing blackface just because "Ha ha, I'm a black person", it can be offensive. And that is clearly the context here. "Haha, I look black" there's nothing funny or insightful or clever about it. So it's pretty much just racist.

No, it's not racist, and to say it is is stupid. It might be dumb, unfunny, and make her look like an idiot, but it's not racist. She's not putting it on to make fun of black people. She's putting it on to pretend to be Tupac (which isn't funny, but not racist.) she's not making fun of how black people look.

As if people don't make offensive historical jokes that disparage other groups ALL the time. Jew jokes, Gay jokes, Women jokes, Native American jokes, Mexican (whether or not they're actually Mexican or from some other Latin American country) jokes, Asian jokes, Indian jokes, starving African children jokes, Irish famine/alcoholism jokes, Scots being the scum of the earth jokes, Russian jokes of all kinds, those are all fine and dandy until African Americans get brought into the picture, right? I agree that racism of all kinds is incredibly wrong, but there's a difference between making a racial joke and enslaving or killing a person on racial grounds.

There is a very long, very dark history behind blackface. Historical context does matter, as much as psuedo-liberals love to pretend it doesn't.

The Murphy skit I was referring to was done in the 80's, and the joke was basically "look at how this clerk gave me a free paper because I'm white"

I get it, she's a dumb teenager making a bad joke. The best course of action is to ignore it because in the grand scheme of things, her and her joke are beyond insignificant. Instead, everyone overreacted and got butthurt.
