Sometimes people get into heated arguments on reddit. Sometimes opinions aren't always welcomed. Sometimes mods do stupid things that the community doesn't like.
Sometimes, dramatic things happen, and we at /r/ThePopcornStand are here to document those moments on reddit.
General rules
- All judgement is left at moderator discretion.
- The rules of reddit are always in effect; do not dox users or post information that can lead to doxx; do not call for brigades or witchhunts against subreddits or users; do not post child pornography; etc.
- We ban people, not accounts; if you evade bans, you will be banned again. If you feel you have been unfairly banned, message the moderators to discuss it.
Rules for submitting threads
- This subreddit is not your personal army. Don't submit drama that you are involved in.
- Don't make submissions using throwaway accounts to get around the above rule.
- Submissions must link to primarily to reddit threads and comments. Drama that occurs primarily offsite belongs in /r/drama.
Rules for commenting
- ThePopcornStand is not a safe space. We do not censor language or topics that some may find offensive.
- While we don't censor words, we also don't allow the harassment of users i.e., you can call someone an idiot, but you can't tell them to kill themselves.
- Trolling for the sake of trolling is not allowed, as is spamming copypasta.
- 'Popcorn pissing; commenting in a thread once it has been linked here. Do not do this. If you can prove that you found that thread "organically" by browsing that subreddit as a subscriber, instead of following the link from here, then you will not be in trouble.
FAQ
"Why can't I see my post/thread?"
Most likely it's stuck in the spam filter. Drop us a line and if it is, we'll approve it. If it isn't, it's probably because you're involved in the drama somehow, or because your account is shadowbanned. We generally will let you know what the problem is before you even have to PM us.
"I don't like a certain post or comment. Can you remove it?"
Nope, sorry. We don't censor opinions here. Everyone is free to post, regardless of what their personal views on things are. Unless they are deliberately trolling, then we won't remove posts.
"Is there any kind of subreddit drama that isn't allowed?"
As long as the drama occurs on reddit, there are no limitations as to what you can post, so long as you aren't involved with it. We won't remove drama just because we don't like it.
