you set my soul alight

side blog! if you are followed by or get notifications/asks from she-loved-a-street-tough that'd be me

NOTE: my "godphone" is basically two (rusty) tin cans and a string so any "dialogue" from loki is practically guaranteed to be interpreted feelings/sensations (however! i have a pendulum now which makes it FAR easier to communicate with him)

(mid-30s. cis female.)

also if you ask me something and i don't reply either here or privately within an hour, i'm most likely asleep or i have gone somewhere.

Loki wants me to get him an iced white chocolate mocha with peppermint and a turkey & havarti sandwich next time I go to Starbucks.  I had no idea he even liked peppermint.  I mentioned that he seemed to like white chocolate a lot (“at least enough to ask for it twice in your Starbucks”) and asked if he liked those Hershey’s kisses that come out around Christmas, the white chocolate peppermint “candy cane” ones.  Got a pretty big “yes” for those, so I told him I’d buy some when they were available again (although I said I might have to wait until they go on clearance and he seemed fine with that).  As for the sandwich, I was like “I have no idea what havarti even is.  Isn’t it like a type of ham?” No.  ”A vegetable?” Nope.  ”…Is it a cheese?” Yes.  I Googled it and “…Huh.  What do you know, it IS a cheese.”  I’ve never had it before.  Loki says I’d heard of it before but had just forgotten what it was.

I also wanted to know what his favorite candy was.  ”I’d hazard a guess it’s something spicy, [as in cinnamon-flavored]” I said.  He said no.  ”No?  Huh. Wait, is it Skittles?” Nope.  ”…Is it fruit-flavored?” No.  ”Chocolate?” Yes.  ”Is it something pretty common?” Nope.  ”Is it available at Albertsons?” (the store I go to most often since it’s close enough to walk to) No.  ”Is it at that other place I go to, Cosmic?” (candy store in Portland) Yes.  ”Wait, is it available at Fred Meyer?” Yes. “Can you tell me what letter it starts with [if I go through the alphabet]?” Yes.  So I did that, and he said it started with a W.  ”The only candy I can think of that starts with W is Whatchamacallit.” Yes! (really big circles).  ”THAT’S your favorite?” Yes :D “Wow, I did not expect that.” I told him I’d ask my mom to get me one of those when she goes to the store later tonight.  I think he was happy about that.
