It wasn't really useful but it did give a bit of an indication. If you ask me reddit just made the mistake of making that info available in the first place, it wasn't all that useful due to fuzzing and if they never had made it available then no one would be complaining right now.

Something like percentages would be nice though.

Two words, automatic downvotes. We never had the proper total of karma to begin with but you've all seemed to forgotten about that. They are taking it out which should make you happy (yes the percentage is kind of dumb but message the people who are putting it in place and give your opinion. Complaining in a comment probably won't do much to sway them).

Posts I could understand, and maybe they do go through some comments, but I assume that is a very random thing, and the probability of your post being seen by someone in charge is very low. Your best bet is still messaging the people in charge.

It's temporary. They are working on fixing the automatic downvote thing. Then they change it to percentages (which I agree is pretty dumb, but being on mobile, that's basically all I see anyway, you have 31 points). If we disagree with the whole thing, they may scrap it and go back to automatic downvotes which doesn't show you the proper total anyway. So just chill out, message the people who did this with your opinions and move on with your life.
