I use they/them pronouns when referring to anyone I don't know unless their pronouns are posted on their blog. I do my best to use nontraditional pronouns if that is your preference, but if I mess up sentence structure because I'm not familiar with them, feel free to correct me. If you use he/him/his pronouns or she/her/hers pronouns and I mess them up it was most likely just a typo, so point it out and I'll change it. My own pronouns are he/him/his.

    When trans people say they wish they were cis, they’re not saying they wish to oppress trans people.

    They’re saying they wish their gender wasn’t at odds with their sex.

    Actually when I say I wish I was cis I’m saying I wish I didn’t have to struggle through life with the oppression trans people face daily. Me saying I wish I was cis has nothing to do with your cissexist idea of what it means to be trans. Oops.

    Calling being trans “cissexist”. Oops.

    I didn’t call being trans cissexist. The idea that trans people have to experience dysphoria and have to hate their genitals is cissexist. The idea that anyone’s gender and genitals don’t match is cissexist. The idea that biological sex is a thing is cissexist.

    Biological sex exists, though, and so does reproduction. You need two sets of gametes to continue the species.

    Biological sex is a social construct. There is no need to separate gender and sex. And saying that trans people have “the wrong body” is just cissexist as it equates gender with genitals. Our species is in no danger of dying off, so I’m not really sure what reproduction has to do with anything.
