I dont wanna be that person BUT….

Im gonna let someone else say it

…Okay then, I’ll do it.

Being physically or mentally ill does not give one a free pass to culturally appropriate. No person’s one moment of gratification is worth the stripping of humanity of literally one sixth of the earth.

And if you must indulge in the culture of others, particularly when it comes to Henna tattoos, why don’t you do it with people who are actually apart of that culture and not white girls with dreads???

-snipped for racist bullshit-

-snipped for racist bullshit-

Do not try to define what henna is and what it is “tranditioned for” (???!!) when you clearly are not a part of my culture nor know anything about henna’s significance. The world has already seen thousands of years worth of appeasement regarding those who offend, and with all due respect to these ladies, they are committing an act of ignorance, as are the people putting henna on them in disrespectful and disparaging ways. I will not tolerate a wrongdoing to occur under the pretense of good.

HOW ABOUT WE LET THESE CANCER PATIENTS FEEL BEAUTIFUL WITH OUT MAKING IT A FIGHT. FUCK. THIS. ENTIRE. WEBSITE. YOU ALWAYS NEED SOMETHING TO BE MAD AT. BUT THIS SHOULD NOT BE ONE OF THOSE THINGS. THOSE PEOPLE HARDLY KNOW IF THEY WILL LIVE TO SEE THE NEXT DAY AND YOU ARE FIGHTING ABOUT STUPID FAKE TATTOOS. FUCK YOU.

How about we don’t use exploiting other cultures to make cancer and alopecia patients feel beautiful? There is literally a FUCKTRUCK full of other things they can do to feel empowered and beautiful without exploiting and commodifying the traditions of people that literally receive discrimination and racism for practicing themselves. When a South Asian woman uses these traditions they’re victims of racism and discriminated against but now that it’s on a sick white lady it’s about feeling beautiful? FUCK YOU. Like seriously how fucked up are you that you think having cancer or alopecia is an excuse to be shitty to other people?

AND DON’T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THE ‘STUPID FAKE TATTOOS’ COMMENT. You are LITERALLY calling really important cultural traditions that are used by BILLIONS of people ‘stupid fake tattoos’????????????? Seriously what the fuck is wrong with you where you have to justify this behavior by being a disrespectful dick to South Asian people and their traditions??

Grow the fuck up.

Literally all of you arguments are bullshit as usual. REVENGE is never an appropriate argument against the use and spread of culture. The culture itself and it’s integrity remain regardless of whether cancer patients have henna on their heads or not, and NEWS FLASH, if you actually knew anything you would know a) henna occurs all over the world b) those very Henna designs are a fashion in India right now with no sacred connotations and c) the spread of these cultural elements normalizes them for everyone, allowing the culture to be more accepted in a way it might not have otherwise. Congratulations on using my culture as your personal weapon to shit on cancer patients. You’re so fucking evil I can’t even deal with it. You’re prioritizing your unprovable and very poor theory that my culture is hurt by this, over the lives of dying, suffering people who are right in front of you. You’re not prioritizing my culture or people. You’re prioritizing your feelings, your ego, and your theory.

I don’t know when you’re going to stop being a non-desi saviour appropriating my culture for your personal agenda and ego, but whatever, I’ll console myself with the knowledge that you’re some 30 year old moral failure of a human being with a bumblefuck university degree - probably no man, no friends, no sense of humor, and no interesting conversation in your life, and no contribution to society whatsoever - who screams pocket arguments from your critical race theory handbook at teenagers on the internet. Do keep it up bornabitch. You’re great for the lovely reminder that it is in fact possible for a human to have the best part of them be the hyphen in their url.
