Thin Privilege is being able to buy clothes at a gift shop while on vacation.
I am currently on vacation and am enjoying it for the most part. I brought plenty of clothes with me, but most of them were sleeveless (fuck anyone who thinks I shouldn’t bare my arms). I was our on a boat a couple days ago in my bikini (fuck anyone who thinks I shouldn’t bare my belly) and my back and shoulders got very sunburned. My arms are not burned, but I don’t want to wear sleeveless shirts with burned shoulders. I only brought a couple tees with me, so for the rest of my trip I am rewearing tee shirts because women’s cut shirts that fit over a size 10 don’t exist in gift shops. I am I smallish fat (size 20) and I know that if I had to I could buy men’s cut shirts that would go on my body so I recognize my level on the privilege spectrum, but paying souvenir prices of $30+ for a single shirt in an obvious men’s cut and design that I would never wear again is a ridiculous waste.
