This is the truth about feminism. It is portrayed in such horrifying and demeaning ways that almost no one these days knows what feminism is about. Worse yet is that they choose to remain ignorant and not do their research before continuing the cycle of abuse that feminists of both genders suffer from the wider public.

Writers are as guilty as anyone else. In fact, we are more guilty of perpetrating this lie, because every book, news report, television show, movie, magazine, and newspaper is written by a writer.

We hold a lot of power for social change, but with great power comes great responsibility. The responsibility not to perpetrate negative stereotypes and harm others with our words.
