But seriously- this is not okay. Just because he's a dude doesn't mean you can throw decorum out the window. There are plenty of sexual subs that cater to women that users can go to. This isn't appropriate here.

What are the limits? Can we tell someone that their face is attractive without using sexual language, or is the point not to objectify them?

Just wondering what your take on the inflammatory/rude language rule is.

EDIT: As someone who's had severe acne, having people comment on aspects of my face other than my skin was a huge gamechanger in the way that I viewed myself. It motivated me to take better care of my skin so that it didn't detract from my whole face. I don't think commenting on attractiveness is inherently rude or harmful.

If you wouldn't say it to your father or your brother or any family member, then it's not allowed (a la /r/MakeupAddiction rules). You can say someone is handsome (as you can see, I left those up), you can't say, "hey you should post in /r/ladyboners." Don't post moaning noises (like 'hnnng'). Don't talk about how badly you wish to have sex with the OP. Don't hit on someone (like the comments in /r/gonewild). If you really need to do that, keep it in the PMs.

Objectifying someone is not what this sub is about. I hope this was clear. If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks for the reply. I don't feel the need to hnnng over skincare pictures, I just didn't want to be banned for telling someone that their face looks great regardless of acne.

I feel like I'd be fine with telling a family member or close friend that they're very good-looking, attractive, or handsome (which OP very, very obviously is); I'm not sure if the truly inappropriate comments are being removed (thank you mods!), or if this would be okay. I wouldn't want to be over the line in this or other posts.
