I've got nothing wrong with a 15% sale. I'm not going to rage that I, "lost out" on $4.50....I literally bought Europa Universalis IV at full price moments before it went on a massive sale.

I get the 15 year anniversary and I think it's a nice touch, but I thought there was a strong suggestion there would be no discount until after Alpha? Something like Rocket saying there wouldn't be one because they have enough Alpha testers? I may be wrong and I look forward to an answer.

Bohemia owns Day Z, Dean Hall does not. I'm sure he has a voice, but they are a business, and if they think a 15% sale is going to help their bottom line, then they have every right to put it on sale.

This is questionable. Its never a reason to be unpleasant or offensive. But to put an early access game which is not released on sale, is very questionable.

You need to release a game before you put it on sale. This early access is getting beyond a joke. Queue BI astroturf account replies....

Aren't they effectively 'on sale' when you buy them anyway? Since most of them offer a lower price to get into Alpha, and then convert to full price at release.

If you want a soft launch, and a niche audience, don't fucking release on the worlds biggest content delivery platform and have 15% sales.

      That's what Dean said. But Dean doesn't control how much something costs. And like many others have said, It's a company wide sale, not just DayZ. I don't understand why people would be upset about something so trivial as a SMALL sale due to the company celebrating years of work. It's just such a ridiculous thing to get pissed about.

      Definitely odd but not unreasonable. 4.50 off, bought it at release so that's 1.10 per month. The marketing team of Bohemia was definitely scared at release so they charged more than needed. $25 should have been the original price.

      Won't be surprised when this gets blown out of proportion though.
