    The mods used to say that they deleted Hernandez posts because they had no impact on the NFL, but this can actually have an impact for the Pats cap space if he is convicted, and being indicted is a big step in the right direction

    It's fucking stupid that they keep deleting it. This double homicide happened before Hernandez signed his shiny new big deal. Because of this, the Patriots can file a grievance with the NFLPA and free up the salary cap hit that Herandez's contract took up. So this has huge salaray cap implications for the Patriots. Apparently that's not NFL related. Fuck us, right mods?

    That's a silly distinction. The only reason that Hernandez isn't a current NFL player is his involvement in the very case we're trying to discuss. Colt Lyerla isn't an NFL player. Discussing him is still appropriate.

    Off-season post guidelines need to be relaxed. During the season, I am all for keeping it tidy. But currently, all posts here are pretty much bullshit. Pre-draft, it was the same pre-draft speculative bullshit and stupid question threads. Post-draft, it's even worse.

    Something interesting happened regarding a player who, until very recently, was a NFL player. Let us talk about it with other football fans! There is not going to be a better place for the type of discussion people want than this sub.

    I don't agree with the deleting if the posts regarding this new Hernandez situation but let's be real for a second here guys....     it could be argued since he killed the 2 people in Boston before signing the contract that it wasn't done in good faith and that would void it. if it is voided then the pats have a very solid argument to get an increase in salary cap to compensate for the money they had to pay out even though aaron was in jail

      Its not "collapsing" though. The mods have their rules and we are challenging the validity of those rules. Certain posts that dont seem "within the scope" of an NFL topic are allowed to stay, while breaking news that most would agree has NFL implications is deleted.
