Breeding is expensive, even if you're not making a profit off the dogs, they're still pricey.

I looked up some info on poodles and I also think it's quite cruel to have a dog that requires that much grooming. Dogs hate to be handled like that and they aren't meant to be floofed up and ran around a show ring. They are meant to be dogs and get dirty.

I too hate how some people treat Poodles as walking topiaries, but there's nothing wrong with the breed.
Most pet Poodle owners shave them sort, and they don't need much grooming then.
